Still breezy today but not nearly as windy as yesterday. Unseasonably chilly temperatures both today and tomorrow with highs in the low to mid 40's. We see temperatures remaining in the upper 40's both Thursday and Friday before we warm into the upper 50's by Friday. Some rain chances maybe mixed with some wet snow tomorrow night and additional rain chances on Friday.

We should build our economy around the wind. It seems to be our best output

I don't know why there aren't any windmills in the industrial park by Hazleton. It's always windy in/up here.

We had quite the snow squall right as I was picking up my first loaded trailer this morning. Wind blown, sideways falling, near whiteout "blizzard" for a time, which caused chaos on 81.

A seven car, one tractor trailer crash southbound killed one motorist and had the freeway closed for 6 hours. Ironically, it was a slick overpass and not visibility that caused this one.

Detouring through downtown Hazelton with a 53' trailer was not exactly on my to do list, but it's what I had to do, twice, to get my other two loads for the day

Franklin heading to Hokie nation.

Good for him. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. I do think it’s a bit telling that apparently the SEC schools didn’t have much interest in him. I was listening to John Middlekauff on Cowherd’s podcast today and he was saying Daboll really wants the Penn State job. Not sure how I would feel about that one.

Here's my honest to Christ opinion:

If Brian Hartline isn't the hire, or maybe Joe Brady from the Bills, it needs to be Terry Smith. Terry has the endorsement of many of the Letterman, which will have a say in this process after two non-Paternoites in charge of the program over the last 14 years, as he himself is a Paternoite, a Letterman, played in the League, and has children who repeated (Justin King). The players that are there currently seem to be playing hard for him, and there has been progress offensively since Smith decided it was time to throw the ball downfield.

You give Smith two years and enough money to make sure he doesn't work after the job because he's a lifer and deserves it. It allows the carousel to cool down because all firing Franklin did was get a ton of dudes paid and if you don't get a bigger hire than the dude you fired, you just give Smith two years and see what happens.

US National Weather Service State College PA

Tuesday - November 18, 2025 @ 530 AM EST: A weak ridge of high pressure over the Commonwealth will bring a brief period of clearing early today before clouds thicken up from the west later this morning through the afternoon, well ahead of low pressure located over Missouri at daybreak. This weather feature will spread a shield of chilly, steady rain across the southwestern third of Pennsylvania this afternoon and evening. As the precipitation drifts north toward the Interstate 80 corridor this evening, the air will be cold enough to allow a mixture of rain and wet snow to occur. There could be a light coating of snow on the highest ridge tops of Central PA overnight.

31 when I left the house.  Site was down this morning when I initially tried to post.

I had the same temp and experience. I tend to agree with @WmsptWx reasoning. To add on to his point about the team playing hard, look at all of the guys who came back this year who could have left early. No doubt the biggest reason was the thought of winning a national title. As the losses mounted, I kept thinking "how much do those guys regret the decision to come back?". And yet, there they are, flying all over the field and playing with a ton of passion. And it's why I'm PSU proud and it's why I'm choosing to take this from an otherwise demoralizing season. The past few weeks, this team has been fun to watch. They should have beat Indiana. I really hope they can bang out the final 2 games, get to a consolation bowl and send these guys off on a high note. They deserve it. As you said to me, so much has gone the worst way possible this year. Time to end it right.
