I don't expect even that much here. Even some snow falling would surprise me at this point.

Thermal profiles are all over the place, both observed and forecast.  Near freezing in the valley (Hendersonville, Asheville), 45F  here at 3550', but  up at 4230' (Bearwallow), it is 41 F.   Going to be interesting to watch this profile flip, according to short range models.

Sitting at 36/24. Not expecting anything out of this coming up. Bummer. Maybe we can pull a surprise!

Temps way off on the HRRR short range considering.

Here in Watauga temps are in the upper 30s but dew points in the low teens. Highs may end up 2-3 degrees below the original forecast but dew points running almost 10 degrees below the NWS hourly forecast. As an amateur I'm not sure whether I should be happy, or concerned that we'll have a lot of virga when it starts.

I know last weekend we did much better with temps running below normal for what they forecast.  Earlier this week was about what they predicted so we will see.

Up to 38/25. I doubt we will make it to 51 which is forecasted. Either way, this is an overnight quick-hitter. Looking forward to our next 2017-type storm here. 16 inches - What a great memory!
