Is this mainly a baroclinic low but with some tropical characteristics? I do not think this is subtropical. It is fully attached to a front and I see no evidence of a warm core, just warm air on eastern side south of a warm front. Also if you watch water vapor loop it is within a broader upper level system centered over WNC. These nor Easter’s can be quite strong and prolonged, as evidenced by winds gusting above 50 on the OBX for the third straight day. The folks jumping on naming this haven’t seen a proper nor Easter in a while! These are fun systems to watch

suzook
Hit a high of 92 today, with a low of 67. 92 in September feels a lot different than 92 in August. More heat for us in southern ATL area. Great time of year! Pool in the afternoon, and football/MLB out back when the sun goes down. Loviing life down here in the South, well other than the lack of rain in the summer. Don't miss NY weather at all

Jimbo! Posted yesterday at 05:28 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:28 PM Too early, plus there is a thread in the Tropics section. Not sure I’d say too early as it could hit as early as SUN PM/mon am .

Considering it hasn't even formed yet, it's too early. Once it becomes a depression, then the models will hone in on it and we will get a better idea of what it will do. Then someone can start a thread. My opinion of course.
