Voyager
I swear, seasonal patterns DO repeat themselves. This has been the story for most of the summer of 2025. SEPA through northern NJ gets the goods, and I miss everything as it all comes together too late for the Skook.
Voyager
Don't know if it was the cool August, or the lack of rainfall, but in just one week, we've had an "explosion" of tree color here in Tamaqua. Maybe only 5-10 percent, so not a lot, but last week it was basically zero percent.
Voyager
Looks like the first wave got some of north central PA and into Scranton and the Endless Mountain region. Now watch. Wave #2 will form southeast of I-81 and hammer Lancaster, Reading, the Lehigh Valley, and points east and south. Just like every opportunity before it. Jns2183
Getting beat on both sides of line of scrimmage.Nothing matters but Oregon and ohio state as long as they win other games. What I mean I mean is they could win other games by 1 or 60 and it won't matter which as long as games are won because regular season will be judged on those two games alone Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

Of course even asking the question that way implies that there is or might be some kind of connection and that is not at all known or proven. So really this is just a bunch of speculation What is interesting about this data is the number of interesting Winters which are associated with the cool august. There are 72 different reporting stations on this list. 26 of the 72 stations listed reported their coolest August since either 1992… 2013… 2014… and 2017. In other words about 1/3 of the stations listed here ended up having significant Winters. Now this is a really bad way to draw any conclusions this early in the game. A more useful study might be to take a look at all the months of August in the last 100 years to find out which one of them has had temperatures that were significantly below normal and what those following Winters were like. But that is a long-term project and something to do over the next few weeks
Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 48. Official tally from the overnight Saturday/Sunday early morning rain was .12”. The weather gods again treating us too kindly this week.
ChescoWx
A beautiful early autumnal string of weather days this week. Many spots, especially in the valley locations across the county, saw low temperatures again in the 40's. Those same spots should see similar reading for much of the rest of the week with higher spots at least down into the lower 50's. Daytime highs will be below normal through Wednesday with temperatures getting slightly above normal in the upper 70's by Thursday before falling back to near normal in the mid 70's by the end of the week. Unfortunately, no rain appears possible through this week.
