Glorious morning in Marysville with a low of 56.

Currently temp is 65 with a beautiful dew point of 55.

Low of 56. My weekend is inundated with kids birthday parties. Hoping to find time to make a fire one night.

Yesterday was the 5th chilliest low maximum temperature for the date with highs remaining in the 60's at Atglen, West Grove and East Nantmeal and just past 70 degrees at most other locations. We should remain below normal today but with highs a good 8 to 10 degrees above yesterday. A great weather week ahead with temperatures at or a bit below normal for the first week of August. Low's this morning were in the 50's with the lowest at Warwick Twp. at 54.8 degrees. Lows continue in the 50's the next couple of nights with lows not too far from 60 for the rest of this week. So a great break for all of our A.C.'s.

Overall across Chester County PA as if you had to be told it was a hot month! Our average temperature across the county was 77.4 degrees. This is the 10th warmest July on record over the 133 years of climate records beginning in 1894. The top 5 hottest July months were 1999 - 78.6 / 1901 - 78.5 / 2011 - 78.3 / 1955 - 78.2 and 2020 at 78.0. It was also a wet month with an average across the county stations of 6.83" this is the 20th greatest average rainfall in July. The greatest average was way back in 1919 with an average of 11.64" of rain.

Got down to 53 in Marysville this morning.

This morning’s low of 55.7  was the chilliest morning here in East Nantmeal since the 55.1 reading back on June 4^th. The lowest temperature around the county this morning was the 52.3 at the Warwick Township station. The first 2 days of August have averaged around 10 degrees below normal temperatures. Today will continue the below normal start to the month, but we have a quick 2 day warm up on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures not too far from average in the mid 80’s. Starting Wednesday we chill down a bit again with temperatures finishing out the work week a few degrees below normal. There is no rain at all in the forecast for this week.

54 here. Monday it might actually hit 90. The cool down is being muted for daytime highs but the overnight lows will be nice at least.

Yep. The older I get the more I check dew points over temps, at least in the summer anyway.

We lied to the kids and told them we were out of marshmallows bc it was late and they were breaking down and we didn’t want to deal with the mess, yada yada. Anyway, it reminded me of this tweet I saw one time that cracked me up, went something to the effect of:

”Me before having kids: I will never lie to my children.

Me today: They don’t sell hotdogs in Colorado.”
