BornAgain13
18z ICON would be another light solid event for VA on Monday. 18z RGEM has it to but lighter. And the 18z GFS has it as well.

Also, what will be the temperature up in the clouds. Surface temps may be above freezing but the ground is so cold anything is gonna stick right now.

olafminesaw
Canadian and UKMET both join the GFS with a more robust system. Both are a little further north though with more temp/mixing issues

BooneWX
If we continue to tick that trough further west next weekend, we likely have a shot with the northern energy digging more.
BooneWX
Cross polar flow is showing up though…I think we’re always programmed to think this is a good thing in the south but I can’t disagree more. This is likely going to be way too much of a good thing. Pipe bursting cold and snow are usually not synonymous.
