Man I wish it was gonna be nice Saturday, but unfortunately it looks like rain. I'd rather not take off work to watch the Pirates in the rain.

Was contemplating grabbing tickets earlier but the weather does look crappy. I'm worried about it getting postponed which is holding me back from just buying the tickets

Same, was about to buy some then saw the weather. There will be another chance hopefully on a weeknight when it’s nicer out.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too. With my luck it will miss us but short range guidance does not look great tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Wait, it went from 6-1 to 6-6 without the ball ever leaving the infield? The Pirates always find ways to do things I’ve never seen before, all of them bad.

6 walks with the bases loaded in one inning heard it was the most in 65 years or something like that. Todays game....woof.

@TheClimateChanger anything interesting thus far in may? Love your analysis

I’m sure @TheClimateChanger will have more, but the first 13 days of May were the 24th warmest in the period of record and 8th warmest at KPIT (since 1952).

This has been driven by warm lows (7th warmest average low at KPIT for the first 13 days of May, and 18th for the entire period of record).

Last 4 days before last night. 46,43,47,45. Airport readings. My house was down to 40 three of those days. Cold when you take the dog out at 6:00 am.

Love it. Feels great. Just curious how this compares to past years. We had snow showers 5/9 a few years ago I think. Also, I feel like in the past june was warmer and September was cooler. Recently feel Iike june are just near average but Aug sept are  scorching. Just anecdotal but would be interested to see data.

Well May hasn't been too remarkable, but with about two weeks left, we are currently in second place for warmest springs in the threaded Pittsburgh area record.

Coming off the heels of the fourth warmest winter.

Interesting. NOAA says heightened odds of warmer than normal temperatures this summer, but the Almanac says cool and dry. Kinda weird how Erie is hot and wet, but SW PA is cool and dry.

Yeah, it’s interesting to read, but Erie being hot and wet and Philly being hot and dry and the rest of the state is cool and dry, makes no sense, lol.
