Stormpc
EURO gets it done in HR. First time it's actually expanded the precipitation further west and north and overall coverage has improved. Uniform 6 to 12 across the region

migratingwx
This proves again, never put faith in the GFS. While every model wobbled, including the Euro, the GFS was by far the outlier and responsible for getting everyone reeled in. If the Euro isn't on board, don't get your hopes up outside of 48hours.

DJnVa
Having Richmond and HR in their own thread for winter storms make this thread really confusing to follow. it’s like having Detroit and Miami share a thread. 1 1

Hey man don't see you on here much but welcome! We have a good amount of people who mention the area they live in if you read through. And then you can just tap to see where they live and I really think they do a good job mentioning both areas
JB Fins
Well, if we did not combine, we would have threads that stay quiet longer in the off months more than this one already does. It was hopping more in here when Midlo and migratingwx kept it alive. Inudaw, I think, is our only red tagger that visits and posts here. Maybe I should see if DT would hop back in. 3 1

I think a better comparison would be like Detroit and Chicago though lol. Definitely not as warm as Miami down in southeast Virginia

Recognizing the climate differences, I still felt it was fitting since everyone was in the same CWA under NWS Wakefield. They used to have a couple of members' posts years back. Also, social media has drawn many participants away from this board. I'll continue to post here, but I may not be as active as I used to be since I'm now in Chicago (and obviously under a new name).
Stormpc
I like combining Richmond and Hampton Roads for the same reasons. We are all covered by the Wakefield office so, why not? 4
Rhino16
I hate sharing my thoughts, but when I do, it’s most likely to be in the warm season. I also am not confident on synoptic level stuff so I’m not great at tracking winter storms. 2
Ephesians2
We are so close in Central VA to either a near total whiff or a widespread warning level event. 1

Shadowzone
It will be interesting to see where warnings and advisories are posted. I'm on the northern edge in Mechanicsville, trying to advise our pastor about Sunday morning services. I sent her the AKQ briefing from this morning. We will chat again tomorrow afternoon after the 3:30 AKQ update. 1

overcautionisbad
I judt think Hampton Roads need to share the snow with Richmond. Tell you what. Everyone in Richmond and surrounding counties get vacuums out pulling toward us and everyone in Hampton Roads get leaf blowers to push some moisture toward Richmond
Berlin1926
I think this sub-sub-forum is genius TBH. I would actually love a Raleigh-Richmond one. Im tired of going back and forth. I mean having Miami or even Atlanta, Ga and Nashville with Raleigh is kind of mind-binding. 1

ldub23
This is from Ross, a Met from RIC area based on history this is typically when we reach our qpf nadir before models bump things up some. atypical storm sure. but if we're going with history this is our bottom
