I'm surprised you married Alison and not the K Index. You love that thing. 

 

 

LOL, it's a good tool around here. Obviously there is more, but high KI and a s/w = boom usually.  Got to make sure it's not a product of modeled convection which sometimes can muddy the signal, but I use it a lot in conjunction with MU CAPE om my product at work.

lol it definitely is. It's nice because it incorporates low/mid level moisture and mid level lapse rates. It's a nice composite tool especially for setups like this overnight.
