SNE GTG, Maybe. That has Nothing to Do with the Conference

I may have a flower I'd like you to identify for me if I can't find out what it is on my own. I'll post some pics over the weekend. My property is covered with old (and I do mean ancient) perennial beds. Some of the flowers are ones I haven't seen elsewhere.

Poppys are found extensively in Asia.

It's just not easy for some people to make it to Baltimore as people have already said. A good core of SNE members has made it to the conference down there for a couple years and counting. Many people like Scott and Kevin have serious things like having a kid to contend with, you have to have some consideration for that. There was definitely a domino effect down the line once the core decided not to attend and others made the same decision. There is no unconscious SNE project to undercut the conference event. People were down about not going, so they decided they would have a g2g locally to make it easier on everyone that won't be attending. This event was only announced this week. Anyone who has committed themselves to visiting for the conference has long since booked a hotel room or flights or even time off for work. There is no way on God's green earth that this will have any effect on attendance or the conference itself. Its just a chance for people who can't attend the conference, to get together and enjoy themselves. You have to think outside of your 'SNE hate bubble' for a little while and realize that life does NOT always revolve around the conferences no matter how bad people want to attend them. I think its completely unfair and even a slap in the face to those who have paid their dues for several years at conferences in the past to get so hostile over not attending for a year. It may have looked bad at first, but under the microscope and all things considered there was absolutely nothing intended or disrespect towards Randy. No one will argue about the amount of work and time he puts into this website. I hope he can take this as a general message from me that I thank him for everything. I am 100% sure that many of us would echo this also.

I think it is a little childish sometimes to go back and forth about something so stupid. Is there nothing better for everyone to do during their workday than argue about subforum wars and misinterpreted events? I really hope there is a day when all of the ignorance back and forth ends. It really makes it tough to be from SNE and post in the Mid Atlantic forum. It actually takes away a whole lot of the fun for me and the reason why I post here. There has to come a point when everyone realizes this epic stupidity is fruitless, on both sides.

What it comes down to is being less hostile back and forth. Showing an equal level of respect between one another and giving a chance for everyone to understand a particular situation without jumping the gun and judging things without understanding them. I think this is a perfect example of that particular situation.

I really don't see why he should be allowed to post here...he just tries to start **** and offers zero positivity. Weird.

Start sh*t? LOL

Are you really concerned with a SNE thread being "positive" or on topic? Put the crack pipe down.

Wonder if we report BX if we could get him banned from our forum? , oh wait that's not how we roll.

Can you imagine what babies we'd have to be to "report" people for some joking around? I'm so glad our crew of people have a good sense of humor and we don't stoop to such pathetic tactics. Reporting people, pffftt!

Do they have Bear season in the Berks? Two bears in next town were sedated and moved this week.

Too much Octopuss?

. Man don't even go there, brutal day, before lunch I had to present to a room full of customers, it humid here and it seemed the conference room had no AC or it was their way to make me suffer, present for 2hr sweating my ass off. After it was Octopus time, I even tried the head, it was ok, almost gagged. Then another meeting.. Drinks and up early for my flight to Japan.

Yep. My neighbor down the road hunts them with bow and arrow. I used to see him practicing emptying his quiver really fast. I thought he was training for a speed/accuracy competition. I stopped by when I was walking home from fishing one night to give him a few trout. He laughed about the speed and accuracy thing and said he hunts bear and sometimes the first arrow just pisses them off (a miss on the kill shot). That's why he tries to get proficient at sending a volley of arrows in. He always has a side arm just in case. I like bears, as long as they aren't ripping apart the barn trying to get to the garbage. Personally, I wouldn't want to kill one unless it wanted to kill me.
