Harv_poor
How could I forget Summer Song by Chad and Jeremy from 1964. I just saw them in concert this February and their voices are still just as good. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZYMSQPKHyJc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Chad & Jeremy A Summer Song mickts 21 videos Subscribe Subscribed Sign In or Sign Up now! Harv_poor
The memories just keep coming. As I tell my children, other then Bruce, music died by 1974. No links though. Don't let the Sun Catch You Crying - Gerry and the Pacemakers Early Morning Rain - Peter Paul, and Mary Sunny Afternoon - Kinks Its funny in that I would have thought that the Beach Boys would have had a l lot of Summer weather songs but I can only think of the Warmth of the Sun

Dale
this song reminds me of March 1960...It was number one all month... http://www.youtube.c...h?v=bMzOaVIsIIM IIRC.....This was also the #2 song for the ENTIRE YEAR......second only to "Theme from 'Exodus' " from Ernest Gold...... While on the subject of "Summer"......How 'bout "Summer Wind" from the "Chairman of the Board"?? (Note: If you have to ask.....you're way too young!!!!) Logan11
It's schmaltzy 70's stuff, but the song that was playing endlessly during the epic 77-78 winter was How Deep is Your Love by the BeeGees. LOL So....when that song pops up on an oldies station it takes me back.... Not that I am advocating that era in music. LOL

Yes...they get compared to Deep Purple all the time..and much of their early stuff does sound similiar. Deep purple was one of their big influencers
