  1. Temperatures starting to soar outside of the valley.
  2. We had a glaze of freezing drizzle earlier this morning, but above freezing now. 34° with occasional drizzle.
  3. My cousin loves telling the story about going to a Grateful Dead concert in Philly that night. Walking in to the show in the pouring rain and coming out to several inches of snow and having to drive back to NY. The band must've known what was up because they started the show with the song "Cold Rain and Snow"
  4. Outside of NNE flooding potential this spring, most likely 8 months of weather boredom incoming.
  5. You are definitely getting one more accumulating snow event before Wiz severe season.
  6. Do you have a woodstove? That's the way to go if you want heat and an open window. Otherwise you wastin' $
  7. I'm just psyched models are caving to the idea of no lengthy or significant warming periods in SNE. Yay! I have been pulling for a suckass Mid-March to Mid-April period.
  8. Who cares? As long as we get more cold shots, without snow, to keep our heating bills high, it's a win. Right?
  9. Storms over 5” have been almost impossible the past few years.
  10. Let's see how much water we can load and freeze into the CNE/NNE pack the next 10 days.
  11. Uhg, already down to 12F I'm guessing somewhere between 2F - 5F when I let the dog out in the morning. I'm 200lbs and can walk across the snow pack without denting it now. Glacier.
  12. We couldn’t get out of the mid 40s because of cloud cover in the valley.
  13. I’m sure after a few downslope dandy March teases April will be cloudy and 40s for weeks on end.
  14. Something is coming in the 7th to 14th period. Might just be tracking ghosts, but I think we will have something to track at least.
  15. I wouldn't get my hopes up for 60's anywhere over the interior. We'll see. Winter's back is broken and warm days are ahead but we are probably not done with snow over the deep interior of SNE and CNE. I mean, I'll only cal it over, when I am no longer getting snow events.
  16. It’s still pretty impressive snow covering Greenfield. Big plow piles everywhere and almost 100% coverage. The 1.5” from this morning did not get complete washed away so at least the piles look prettier than they did. Unfortunately my slushy driveway is going to freeze solid again tonight.
  17. My God, the potholes in Greenfield are beyond description. I’ve now seen two cars getting towed this week due to what must be damage from hitting a hole too hard.
  18. I’m over 40 inches for the season, but it has been all nickels and dimes.
  19. I know, I know. I was pretty surprised that we got accumulating snow overnight. I figured only the hill towns would see any. It was probably close to 1.5” on the cars this morning.
  20. Dumping now, which usually means we are about to flip to sleet.
