It’s a little bit better than Arctic sand here but definitely smaller flakes. Coming down pretty good right now and it looks like some heavier bands might rotate in soon.
Baking powder snow and teens make for tough driving conditions. A friend of mine just drove from Greenfield to Northampton and said 91 south is treacherous.
How is snow growth there?
Started here around 8:15 but we are only at about 1.5”. Pure baking powder.
has not gotten any heavier than moderate since it started.
Hopefully see a little improvement in flake size, but either way should end up with a few inches.
That was something I had not thought about or knew about. Interesting. Not really used to snows coming in at this trajectory but in my mind I was considering similar in precipitation shield to a SWFE. Meaning, it's a rare chance to be in a good zone of lift and decent precipitation here.
lol, I’d take but skeptical. Definitely nice to have a storm that is exciting up to go time, even though it won’t be a blockbuster. Hope everyone from NYC to parts of CNE can get accumulation.
