    I think you’re fine there. There’s always a few trees down with steady sustained winds but I don’t see major issues for Southern Vermont.

    I live in a grove of 100’ White Pines so wind only excites me when I’m at the coast. Although, I will say, White Pine are quite resilient with high winds outside of anomalous severe events. Either way, I just don’t see this being super impressive inland unless everything goes absolutely right for widespread damaging coastal. 9 out of 10 times it’s disappointment if you’re looking for big excitement in these storms. Well see what models show 24 hours from now when the sampling is better…

    I think inland it’s going to be more impressive at elevations above 600’ if you are looking for any damage. The duration of the event, with regards to wind, may create some minor problems in the valley, but overall nothing impressive. Hydro issues inland are still to be determined.

    It was pretty nice in Greenfield today. Full sun, mid 70s. A little bit too breezy to make temperatures optimal, but we take.

    Worst winter I’ve had in my 17 years here. Toaster plugged in next to the bathtub by mid February that year.

    I will probably have much grinding of teeth, with regards to precipitation type, between mby and the hills around me but I think a decent N & W of RT2 winter is inbound.

    The only given this winter is that Hubba Hubba Dave and I Need Frozen will somehow manage above normal snow in a Super Duper El Niño. All kidding aside, I do believe there will be a sharp gradient this winter, where you and I at least hit average. I think the interior has some potential to cash in on marginal events. In other words, I don’t think it’s a full dumpster fire N of RT 2.

    Absolute stunning day out on Buzzards Bay. Calm, blue skies, light breeze. Spent a lot of the afternoon exploring some of the inlets and tidal rivers. This however, is looking towards Old Silver Beach.
