    It’s been a very wintery winter, just not memorable so far.

    It’s kind of bizarre, it’s only 19° here but we have what seem like wet March flakes falling straight down right now. Seems to be graupel mixed in(?) because they are loud hitting the car and evergreens.

    Greenfield salted a few main roads and that was it. I will say, a lot of the streets were pretty slick tonight.

    It’s a little bit annoying because these regularly scheduled .5” - 1” events are way too light to clear, so they just keep getting walked on and driven on to add to the driveway glacier.

    It’s been light snow here for the past half hour with a coating but Snow growth just got much better the past few minutes.

    The edges will get punked up by the late week rain and warmth, but should still be plenty of ice once we refreeze. People have been ice fishing in Franklin County for weeks.

    Same thing happened at our house. Wife was sick as a dog for a few days and the boy and I didn’t catch it.

    Yeah, at least the main streets. Secondary streets are a longer wait. The plowing hair is generally quite good. It’s just that they wait until there’s “real snow”

    Greenfield DPW has an unwritten rule where the plows don’t come out or anything under 2 inches.

    It’s actually pouring arctic sand right now. 22° SN.

    So far, this winter has been "wintery", just in a somewhat frustrating manner. I expect a decent January.

    Nice snow showers here. The glare ice in the driveway has been beautifully coated and polished. It’s actually coming down pretty good so I’m anxious to see what the heavier bands in the streamer to my West do.

    I would say NW MA and along RT is all BN. Not terrible here wrt totals, because of book end December storms. Still, it’s easy to speculate what could’ve been with the cold that we’ve had. I’ll work on getting on the new snow totals thread tonight but I’m around 11” season to date.

    I know Ray is pulling for Martha’s Vineyard to eclipse his season to date totals.
