    Yeah, weird Connecticut is so cold because I’m at 19° still. Wind has really calmed down for now also.

    Congrats to everybody in the east, who is getting crushed. Kind of a rare and special event for some areas. Psyched we got a few inch refresher here, especially since this weekend is Greenfield’s winter carnival. Everything looks quite festive with the newly covered piles.

    Must’ve been Arctic sand here for a while overnight because the bottom inch is baking powder dense.

    Maybe general 2.5”-3.5” across the valley? I was only expecting an inch so I’m happy. Models were very paltry out here.

    Freight train winds here right now. Looks like 2.5” total here. Seems like all of the snow here was prefrontal. The front coming through has brought nothing but some flurries.

    It flips back-and-forth from tiny flakes to quarter sized. Barely snowing right now.

    Looks like at least 2” new. Kind of flipping back-and-forth between light to moderate snow even though radar looks empty. 20°, wind starting to puff a little.

    If you approach this event, knowing that it has a tremendous capacity for disappointment, then it will be much easier to bare psychologically. I’m planning on a coating here and we’ll see if there’s a pleasant surprise of more than that.
