  1. 87° in Greenfield so won’t have an official heat wave this week but close enough for my personal comfort level. Heading out soon to jump in the river for the first time this year.
  2. Currently 82° at home and 84° in downtown Greenfield. What a day, I may need to cut out of work early.
  3. Looks like we get kind of Steiny after this. I wouldn’t mind drying out for a week or more to get some outdoor stuff done.
  4. Soaking drizzle almost all day in Greenfield. I wish we could trade weather.
  5. I'll maybe concede tuesday to you Pike South for a 90. We'll see.
  6. More likely to be a back-and-forth summer with fluctuating ridge placement but that’s just my very amateur opinion.
  7. I drove through the East Quabbin hill towns yesterday. Wilderness with scattered houses. It’s so rural. Good sandwiches at Petersham Country Store though.
  8. It's autumn in reverse, it's amazing!
  9. Nobody in SNE is hitting 90 next week.
  10. Maybe in the lower Ohio Valley…
  11. Disaster Saturday in Greenfield so far. Hopefully, we clear out a bit for the afternoon.
  12. Steady light rain and drizzle all morning N of RT 2.
  13. Today’s Boston Globe has a good article about the May 1977 snowstorm. here’s the link, but I’m pretty sure it’s probably paywalled: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2026/05/09/metro/mothers-day-snow-storm-1977-ma/
  14. The rash can take a while to develop and there’s no guarantee you’ll have the rash, even if you do have Lyme or some other shitty tick born illness. Yeah, they’re everywhere and I feel like I say that every spring now.
  15. Nice soaking sheet drizzle right now so that’s fine.
  16. Believe me, I would love to live on the coast of Maine, but there’s just not enough warmth.
  17. Week 3? Week 4? We just don’t know.
  18. 52° in Greenfield with some gusty wind. I’m still stubbornly rocking the shorts though.
  19. Ya' a little over .20" definitely was a surprise.
  20. Today is a stunner though. Went into work late so I could sit in the sun with my coffee and listen to the birds.
  21. Losing May is like losing December in the winter.
  22. Fantastic morning here, going to get out for a hike this afternoon.
  23. Interestingly, DVDs and CDs are pretty popular on the used market these days.
  24. Probably best to get your hands on some chlordane and kill every living fauna on the hill.
