  1. Just went out and shoveled a bit so we could let the pup out. Didn't take any measurements but I'm guessing about 7 or 8" so far down here. A mix of sleet and snow right now.
  2. It's gonna be close for both of us. I don't care much either way, but I know most everyone here is rooting for max snow in their back yard.
  3. I'm gonna be walking a tight-rope on that coastal front down here.
  4. Finally some flakes at the end of the day. Back edge approaching. Wasn't really expecting any accums down here anyway.
  5. 2" here in Salem, CT. It really came down under that heaving banding from 12-3pm but changed back to rain by 4:30pm and never got below 34 until after midnight.
  6. Flipped to snow about 10 minutes ago. Giant slushy flakes coming down at 35 degrees.
  7. Not expecting much down here, but damn if this isn't a gorgeous storm.
  8. Small tree down across the road just up the street. Lucky it missed the overhead lines. Helped the state trooper pull it off to the side. Tropical storm like outside now - heavy heavy sideways rain.
  9. Nice constant background roar going now, with some pretty heavy gusts. Whenever the heavier batches of rain come the wind definitely mixes down really well.
  10. Paid $1.42/gal on 11/3, but I see the local place I get mine is up to $1.65 now
  11. Same here, frost is heavy. 2.5" final in SE Salem for your snow map.
  12. Still coming down very lightly. 2.5" final, melting already. I'm at 388 feet, just down the hill, about a mile, at 150' they have almost nothing.
  13. Impressive, sleet down here in SE CT already. Wasn't expecting frozen until noon or so.

  15. Definitely more humid over here in Salem compared to just 2 hours ago when I was outside with the doggo.
  16. Severe warned for the storm over near Marlborough, CT. It's a noisy bugger....non-stop thunder for the past 30 minutes or so. Doesn't look like it's coming anywhere near mby; however.
  17. Incoming here. Severe warned for possible wind and hail.
  18. Might be some nice swell this weekend at RI beaches due to the system developing off the eastern seaboard. Looks like Saturday will at least be a good beach day.
  19. 72/68 and tropical showers down here. 58 would be nice.
  20. Almost feels like Florida here. Hot and humid, then a pop-up tropical shower for 10 minutes, and now the sun is back out and the humidity is even higher.
  21. Power restored at 12:22pm today. 5 days 20 hours. I feel bad for the people who still don't have power. Last night sleeping was a bit sticky to say the least.
  22. Generac 6500 gas genny. Have had it about 10 years now. Hook it up to a transfer switch when the power goes out. Runs like a champ. Have had to use it sooo many times. 9 days for Irene, 3 days for the Octobomb, 5 days for Sandy. Looking like this will be 5 days or more...fun times.
  23. This describes my house. Lots of work to do for minor (2 customers) gain. Tree still down on the wires although half the road has been cleared to allow car passage. At least the generator gives me power to the well pump, furnace, microwave, fridge, computer and internet. Amazingly the tree is resting on the Comcast cable and it still works.
