  1. Huh....Jackpot!!! Not gonna happen.
  2. Merry Christmas everyone! Warm and rainy morning. Just a few snow piles left now. Power flickered a couple of times around 6am when the heavy line came through. Glad it never went out as the sump pump is working overtime keeping the water out of the basement. 2.5" of rain so far.
  3. .6" mix of snow and graupel here in Salem. Impressed at how much was coming down when I was in West Hartford earlier today.
  4. Yep, can confirm. Heavy pingers woke me up around 3am or so...lasted at least 30 minutes. Nice layer of ice/sleet in the middle of the pack.
  5. Got an extra .5" in those band that came through in the afternoon. 9.5" total in SE corner of Salem.
  6. Just very light snow coming down now. We're about done here. 9" final in Salem, CT. @The 4 Seasons
  7. Just went out and shoveled a bit so we could let the pup out. Didn't take any measurements but I'm guessing about 7 or 8" so far down here. A mix of sleet and snow right now.
  8. It's gonna be close for both of us. I don't care much either way, but I know most everyone here is rooting for max snow in their back yard.
  9. I'm gonna be walking a tight-rope on that coastal front down here.
  10. Finally some flakes at the end of the day. Back edge approaching. Wasn't really expecting any accums down here anyway.
  11. 2" here in Salem, CT. It really came down under that heaving banding from 12-3pm but changed back to rain by 4:30pm and never got below 34 until after midnight.
  12. Flipped to snow about 10 minutes ago. Giant slushy flakes coming down at 35 degrees.
  13. Not expecting much down here, but damn if this isn't a gorgeous storm.
  14. Paid $1.42/gal on 11/3, but I see the local place I get mine is up to $1.65 now

  16. Definitely more humid over here in Salem compared to just 2 hours ago when I was outside with the doggo.
  17. 16" here, might squeak out another tenth. Parents in Niantic said about 18" around 6pm. They might have gotten a bit more after that as this final batch has been moving through.
  18. Low level circulation definitely ripping off to the east now...
  19. NO way that Norwich CT reading of 9" is correct. They were in a heavier part of the band for hours and I'm over 13" here to the west of them in Salem.
  20. Snowing lightly now that I'm in between the 2 heavy CT bands. Just took 3 measurements. 12.5", 13.5" and 15" on flat areas of the driveway away from the house. So I'll call it 13.75" so far. Might be able to squeak out another inch if that west most band moves overhead before the end.
  21. Poor Kevin sucking fumes. Ginxy naked! Not too bad here IMBY - just to the west of the yellow returns in the eastern band. Almost 6" total so far.
  22. In case people haven't seen this...a 5 day animation of the vis/ir satellite view of the storms. http://gizmodo.com/5805821
