  1. Was 34 and drizzle still in Waterford when I left at 9:20....drove home to Salem and it's 32 and FZRA here again....hoping it turns to sleet soon. Lots of small branches down on the road and trees drooping over it.
  2. Closing in on .25” of ice accretion. Looking forward to getting above freezing later. Still 31 and FZRA here.
  3. About a half inch of snow/sleet under a nice glaze of ice. 30 and freezing rain right now.
  4. About 3" inches so far and dumping nicely. Was about 2" when I cleared the wife's car at 5:45am.
  5. 4.6" total. .6" before the change to rain the other day and another 4" overnight and this morning. Actually got more than I expected. Was thinking maybe only 2" overnight.
  6. Heavy, heavy rain here now. About .5 of snow and sleet earlier.
  7. Yep, we lost power here right at 3:03. Ever source estimates noontime to restore. Fun stuff. .
  8. 3.25" of rain. Lots of minor branches and leaves down, but no power outages or even flickers in my neck of the woods. Was awesome listening to the rain and wind while falling asleep last night.
  9. I'm curious if this mesolow will be as strong as the one that blasted up through Glastonbury, CT, 6 or 7 years ago. As I recall that was one of the first times I heard the term "landphoon".
  10. I don't know about the Wilton area, but KGON has gusted to 44mph already.
  11. Impressive rotation on the radar with what I'm assuming is the vaunted meso-low south of LI
  12. Gonna be some enormous diurnal temp swings this week according to the NWS local forecast. Methinks something is broken in the NWS website scripting and/or database.
  13. Oh......The Weather Channel or somesuch will probably name it....
  14. Yeah, impressively windy when I went out for lunch today. I was guessing 35ish, but not surprised to hear ~40 too. Got sandblasted in the parking lot when I returned to work.
  15. Impressive 86/67 imby. Nice warm October day. Showers around but no rain here yet.
  16. Rain just start about 15 minutes ago from that first bit of influence from Dorian. 68 cool degrees.
  17. Beautiful wave spacing from Bermuda to the Pacific -
  18. 8" total. A decent amount of compaction with the sleet we had.
  19. Sun is out but it's still snowing. 3" total for here.
  20. Very sad that messenger is no longer with us. This combined with the radar give me the feeling that this would the perfect storm for him to diagnose. There'd be arguments for pages of him telling us the storm isn't coming and everyone else talking about delusions of the radar showing northerly movement. I might be wrong, but this definitely feels and looks like it's going to be an under performer. I think she's going wide right.
  21. 16" here, might squeak out another tenth. Parents in Niantic said about 18" around 6pm. They might have gotten a bit more after that as this final batch has been moving through.
  22. Low level circulation definitely ripping off to the east now...
  23. NO way that Norwich CT reading of 9" is correct. They were in a heavier part of the band for hours and I'm over 13" here to the west of them in Salem.
  24. Snowing lightly now that I'm in between the 2 heavy CT bands. Just took 3 measurements. 12.5", 13.5" and 15" on flat areas of the driveway away from the house. So I'll call it 13.75" so far. Might be able to squeak out another inch if that west most band moves overhead before the end.
