  1. Neutral Enso looks in the bag at this point, even though I know there's no such thing in weather. Which end of neutral is the question yet to be answered. Either way, RONI will probably be on the Niña neutral end, if not weak Niña territory methinks.
  2. Not the case for BWI at all those years unfortunately. 93/94 was the worst. Horrendous.
  3. I agree 100% models are too snowy. I've been an unapologetic snow lover all my life and started following snow threats religiously since the 72/73 winter. Since then when modeling was first being used as a tool, they have ALWAYS been too snowy beyond 24 hours. I can remember complaining to a friend in high school (before 1976) that the model forecasts were too snowy. My point is, modeling has always been too snowy outside of 24 hours for a variety of reasons and to use recent years' snowy +24 hours modeling errors as proof of anything is a mistake imho.
  4. Meant to ask, can you post November? I'd like to see if there were any trends as weak as it may be. Thanks.
  5. Eps were too warm last year, so I'll take it at this point for a long lead guess.
  6. Meant to add Cansips' Enso forecast. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=cansips&region=global&pkg=ssta_noice&runtime=2025060100&fh=0
  7. Fwiw, new Cansips temp forecast for winter looks a lot like it's forecast for last winter, maybe colder for midwest. Has a cool summer in the central US for once. Here's the link for conus temps starting in June. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=cansips&region=us&pkg=T2ma&runtime=2025060100&fh=0
  8. Great news! I'm sure everyone enjoyed the weather.
  9. Key word "potential." But the numbers I posted showed no warming showing up thru 5/14. Going off those surface maps can be misleading because 1) there are several SSTA product maps out there and they are often different, albeit subtle at times, and who knows exactly which map generates those numbers I posted, and 2) you really can't make an accurate assessment off those maps of subtle changes...iow, eyeballing them doesn't work well most of the time when trying to determine numerical numbers from the CPC.
  10. Alex may need this link. It's been pretty steady for the last 5 weeks. 16APR2025 26.2 0.6 27.3-0.2 27.5-0.2 28.2-0.3 23APR2025 25.1-0.3 27.3-0.2 27.8-0.0 28.5-0.1 30APR2025 25.2 0.1 27.3-0.2 27.8-0.1 28.6-0.0 07MAY2025 24.8-0.0 27.2-0.1 28.0 0.1 28.6-0.1 14MAY2025 24.4-0.1 27.0-0.2 27.8-0.1 28.7-0.0
  11. My reference to the sun was a little further in the future than yours...as in 8,000-10,000 years. Lol But I have a Cubs fan mentality and try to be optimistic every fall regardless of anything. Snowfall is my main concern and despite warmer temps in 23/24, I got more snow than last year!
  12. It'll never be permanent thanks to the sun, just a little frustrating to snow weenies
  13. Last post. I don't care about cc. There's nothing I can do about it and neither can you, assuming it's even a bad thing. Your wasting your time, if not your life, posting in here about it. Just because people post about temps generally or casually mention it isn't a green light to go into the subject here because there's a forum for it. You wanna' talk Enso, have at it.
  14. Deniers. You've done it so much you can't even see it anymore.
  15. I think you just like to call people names because it's all you've got in your life and it's the best you and your ilk can do.
  16. Can't you talk to yourself in the Climate Change forum? You know, the forum for this drivel. Thanks.
  17. Pretty wet! Actually, it was over 13 days after looking at the calendar, but what's the difference. Just humid as heck and hot today before the current round of thunderstorms. Hit 87 up here.
  18. I've had 6" in the last 10 days. Tired of mowing!
  19. I just assumed this was due to lingering effects of the SSW. It was impressive with an extended -AO. But who knows.
  20. Though too early for any real certainty, somewhere between a weak Niña to weak Niño are the table at this point, with a La Nada of some sort favored imho. SOI has been dropping lately, fwiw, per attached. When you look at everything, there really are mixed signals on how winter goes in the east imho. But, admittedly, that ain't saying much other than equivoval, meteorological drivel. But I tried my best to sound good lol.
  21. 1.5" of rain you "southerners" can gladly have. Another nasty mow coming.
  22. May's Euro does favor a Niño for 26/27. But that's got to be low skill.
  23. Euro's May Enso update taking the shotgun approach.
  24. More cutoffs than I can stand. 2" of rain up here this week with more coming. I absolutely loathe mowing the lawn in the spring as the grass is so thick.
