  1. May as well since Gfs continues to overwhelm the pattern with cold.
  2. Yep. Mid December and January 31/February 1. Snow on the ground entire month of February with like 4 events.
  3. Yeah, it was decent up in Hanover with around 32-34" I believe. I'm less than 10 miles north of him.
  4. Can't tell with those cheesy maps. Too strong of a cold push unless I'm wrong.
  5. 12z Euro AI had a stronger cold press, so not so much snow around and past day 9 fwiw.
  6. And then blocking may reappear as it often does late in seasons that featured blocking early. No guarantees, but it's not so simple. Heck, 95/96 was a Niña and had no problem being cold and snowy in February for many on the east coast.
  7. Without the December and early January snows, I don't see how this year can compare to 13/14 unless we get crazy February and March snows.
  8. It's a measure of the Pacific, not a driver.
  9. Just gunna post. It's bringing something out of the GOM. Where it goes???
  10. Gem has that trough stuck in the sw. Where have we seen that before?
  11. The key to February is that all long range guidance has precip AN all along the east coast. So warmer temps and AN precip in February is conducive to snowfall.
  12. Looks like the first batter is coming up to the plate at the end of the Icon run. https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?m=icon&p=prateptype_cat_icon-imp&rh=2025011112&fh=180&r=conus&dpdt=&mc=&pwplus=1 https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?m=icon&p=500h_anom&rh=2025011112&fh=180&r=conus&dpdt=&mc=&pwplus=1
  13. Ensembles have the best look for a 5-7 day period I can remember. Hopefully they don't lose it. 6z EuroAI has the 2nd wave with the snow again. Biggest concern for me remains cold overwhelming but that's more based on seasonal pattern/persistence.
  14. I haven't looked closely at how they do it, but Geps snowfall map is the best of the 3 ensembles. At this range, that's all I need to know. Lol
  15. 6z Gfs is continuous cold and dry, aside from flurries. Edit: Gefs snowfall actually pretty decent.
  16. Let's see if the 0z Euro can get it right.
