    90% completed and looking decent. Likely best since 2016 The contracts we now have to provide our broadcasting services nationally have restrictions as to attributions on seasonal outlooks. You all know who I network with and like it always was it’s still a collaborative effort. We don’t use tropical situation as anything more than a quite minor aspect but will still hold off until 9/21 for release

    Power back at 8:30 so 4.5 hour outage most lightning this season and 4/5 strikes very close by

    Been without power since 4pm About 5 very sharp bolts with thunder within one second. Looks like a pole by WTOP towers took a direct hit

    95 for high and dropped off quickly after sunset. Not an insufferable 85 and humid night .

    Hourly Obs inoperative good rule over next 2 days is that if it’s 90 by 10am at DCA it will usually hit 100

    That’s a mess and looks like 65-70mph results do you think? Looks like our grandchildren 2.5-5.5 age.

    Many big limbs down both sides beltway between 450 and Kenilworth. Got one guy saying trees were bending over. Maybe over 70mph?

    That’s the freaky orange I saw and even more intensely Most summer thunderstorms for me since 2010. I had 3 70mph events that year .

    Freaky orange is right and I’m still worked up. Kenny did you see it? This picture is closest yet to way it was at my house but it’s still not all encompassing orange enough!!

    Mine was brilliant I orange . I was about 10 minutes too late with pics and too dark. orange like someone just painted it on white paper. I got some mileage on me too!

    0.65” in 20 minutes and 35 mph winds. Got a video from Bowie and those winds were intense, looked like 65 mph

    I think over last 20 years this has become more determinant for us and Enso less so. We gotta have the “right” cold air. SSW and Mjo is still hard to find predictability in. Get the negative nap/ao that’s not misplaced too far south and see what happens with other factors.

    2006 was my most impressive personal rain event ever. 8.5” when done and visited Lewisdale properties with basements full of water to the ceiling and water gushing out the side doors up the stairwell when opened.

    Been the pattern last 3/4 events and I presume this one will fill in and expand later or it will be drier
