  1. Today is honestly my style of weather. If I could have this for 6-9 months out of the year with the occasional cold front that drops temps to the 60s with low humidity, I'd be pretty happy with that. Basically, this type of weather with 2 months of fall (temps in the 50s) and 2 months of a winter (where it actually snows) would probably be my sweet spot.
  2. It looks like another mid-Summer day outside with a stagnant Bermuda High. Nothing to see here. Im kidding…it does kinda look like a partial eclipse, but these temps are magical compared to last week’s absurdity.
  3. As long as it’s only for a day, I can deal with it. .
  4. I’m all in on the 80s and not just in a Nintendo kinda way.
  5. Today’s weather is pretty close to immaculate.
  6. It was getting drought-y up here, but I think Frederick did pretty well in the precip department from that thorny cutoff/ull low. However, i could see how those that missed out on the goods from that one are gonna need a gully washer soon. I think this type of pattern could play out better in the summer if we get a Bermuda high with these continued high latitude pieces of energy riding through.
  7. It’s definitely greened up a bit in Frederick from last week’s soakers. I’m ok with a little extra rain. Pollen was starting to get wild again.
  8. Today’s weather was majestic from start to finish. My allergies definitely ramped up again, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay for days like this.
  9. Enough breaks in the clouds to turn into a very nice day. Just biked at the ‘shed. Trail was only marginally damp with a few slick spots, but it’s pretty clear we needed the rain (though the trails do naturally dry quicker here than some of the other more low lying ones that have less elevation changes).
  10. Still quite a few clouds around (which seems to be mostly produced by the nw flow rolling over the ridges), but overall we seem to be heading in the right direction.
  11. Just got a hoops sesh in. Even with the clouds, today is undeniably the nicest day of the week so far.
  12. Yea, this has essentially been a weeklong, upper Midwest/NE pattern. Need to get some warming of the mids. I’m ready for 80s, sun with occasional afternoon storms to track, though I’d also take 70s and clouds at this point lol.
  13. Started off with a little sun, but clouds continue to filter in with that cold upper level low still hanging around (though it does feel a little nicer outside overall). Hoping to see more breaks in the sun by the afternoon.
  14. Also, unusual looking radar right now. It's as if every popcorn cloud is capable of producing rain. I guess this is what happens when you have an anomalously cold upper level low this time of year.
  15. Been seeing more pockets of breaks in the clouds today than yesterday. Sun actually poked through for a few minutes here. Hopefully, any daytime heating doesn't cause too much instability/clouds the rest of the day...unless it's a thunderstorm. I'm kinda game for that. Was surprised to see it mentioned in today's forecast.
  16. lol, I appreciate the snow pics because snow is awesome, but I'm kinda good on it imby until late November. I'll continue to appreciate it from afar. This has been a drab past few days (where it's not snowing), but the May stretch of clouds/mist for several weeks around 2016 was definitely worse. Looks like a nicer stretch of weather incoming after that monstrosity of a GL low moves out to sea.
  17. If I wasn’t being biased, I definitely spoke too soon. The Catoctin’s ate that band up.
  18. Maybe I’m biased, but I feel like Frederick has been doing extremely well with this merry go round of vorts the last few days. Another shower about to roll through here.
  19. It’s been demonstrably better than last year, that’s for sure.
  20. This weather pattern is the pits lol. The only reason I’m tolerating it is because we needed the rain, but I’m ready for that GL low to move on out. These types of northern stream systems are becoming all too predictable…mostly cloudy, cool with some wind is the typical output. Awesome.
  21. Temps are actually kinda tolerable...more so than I expected. Thank you, May sun angle.
  22. I've found it be to a little more cloudy in Frederick compared to Moco. It's usually either post-frontal passage or from one of those little northern stream disturbances that causes debris clouds to stream across from the mountains. It's not a showstopper for me because I like being closer to the more rugged trails, but it's noticeable.
  23. Wind has entered mby. Few little gusts
  24. Looks like a welcome break incoming. Hoping to get some sun to peek through like yesterday before the cold front swings through later.
  25. I've done pretty well up here with both events. Looks like 1-1.5"+ on average around my location a couple miles nw of downtown Frederick. Might be closing in on 4" total when all is said and done.
