    Exactly. Those backloaded winters were only backloaded on snow. There was cold air around for what seemed like November thru March.

    Honestly, any winter that starts slow (like this one) is an immediate flag to me. I’m not surprised at all by this outcome so far and was one of the reasons I went low on snowfall. Now watch us get a March hecs.

    I’d rather there not be cc and I’m all about the seasons, but I do find it funny how we root for temperatures that require a couple layers of clothing. Snow is awesome, but 70 degrees is a lot more comfortable than 30 lol. I’m all for going green, but I’m actually more concerned with how dirty we’ve made this planet with all the plastic, etc. We’ve left a mark, that’s for sure.

    Little shower moved through during my mtb’ing, but nothing dramatic. Kinda felt good, if anything lol.

    Temp inversion was noticeable driving up Gambrill. Went from low to upper 50s.

    I think it was Eastern during that stalled out upper level low in the northeast but mostly western from the relentless nw flow.

    FWIW, I am craving another snowstorm, but we're talking some legitimate mild air leading into this. Yes, it can still snow (Jan 2011 was legendary)...I've learned that lesson, but we typically need a little time to get the pattern favorable. I've noticed we've had some longer duration patterns lately...it was cloudy all week last week and now we've had sun for a week. Not sure what that means in the grand scheme, but it's been noticeable.

    I have no complaints about the weather this week, that’s for sure lol. February is the best of both worlds…better snow chances, but also have Spring around the corner to look forward to.

    I need to get out to Davis. I heard there's some legit mountain biking there, too. I saw a recent post on X that we actually have more snowfall to date than some parts of Minnesota. That's absurd. I think with temps the way they are, we don't want to can kick to March. I won't lie, though...the weather the last couple days has been absolutely amazing. Hardly a cloud in the sky.

    This weather is pretty outstanding compared to the gloomy stratus we had most of the week. Just got a bike ride in over at the ‘shed. Creeks and streams look a lot healthier than they did over the summer.

    40s and sun > 40s and clouds I’m ok with the upcoming forecast and will embrace the 50s as well. Maybe the following week can produce more wintry prospects.

    My swimming skills are “boogie boarding” level, but I found mountain biking (or biking in general) to be a great complement to basketball bc both can be HIIT/cardio. The benefit of biking is that it’s generally low impact (aside from the gnarly stuff). Soccer thru elem and basketball from middle school on def increased the wear and tear on my back/knees/ankles as I’ve gotten older.

    It wants to snow here once a month. We're gonna have no choice in a few weeks, but to accept that. For now, enjoy the trails and cleared off basketball courts.

    I think we'll get another round of winter by then, but the idea that we're actually good at March snow is a little overrated. It certainly does snow, but we usually don't get wintry periods like we had a couple weeks ago...March is a little more choppy in that regard.

    Yea, but how much of that running is Lamar? I think they threw him off. Overall, they should have mixed it up. Now I want to watch the game again lol. I’m a basketball guy, but football is my 2nd. I still think the Ravens will be back.
