  1. Totally gross outside-thick smoke smell.
  2. Yikes, and about to get hit again.
  3. “Sun” back out here (smoky orb in the sky)
  4. Robert Moses Causeway might be getting pelted with hail. Don’t see that often if ever in the last 20 years.
  5. Had a few pea size hailstones and mod-heavy rain but predictably it’s weakening here.
  6. Maybe spoke too soon about missing the hail core here. Looks like it’ll be close. Mod rain and thunder currently. Very creepy/smoky sky.
  7. Nasty hail core right over Oyster Bay.
  8. Sky getting dark but looks like the storm might go just west of me. Rain is desperately needed however we get it.
  9. Wow, thanks for posting!
  10. If this storm can hold up over Westchester it might be a nasty one for MBY. I wonder if the smoke actually helps these storms by providing nuclei for the clouds.
  11. If we’re getting maritime low cloud gunk, mesos definitely win. If the low clouds don’t happen we’ll probably make it into the 70s. Regardless, no heat for a while with the deep trough diving in.
  12. You should move to Seattle.
  13. Back door front wildfire smoke. That… doesn’t happen every day.
  14. Still 70 on the beaches. Not your typical BD front other than the winds. The one for next Sat though looks way nastier, hopefully that can adjust.
  15. GFS looks quite blustery tomorrow for the Jersey shore/S Shore. Umbrellas on the loose alert on the beaches. Clouds look to get shunted south again though.
  16. My wager is the clouds will probably make it here to at least I-80 since these systems always seem to make a last lurch north-at least the high clouds and tomorrow may not be so nice because of the back door front and increasing easterly winds on the coast, but all in all awesome weekend.
  17. Drooling at a 360hr MCS. That’s desperation.
  18. When it was endless torch the rest of that "winter". These Nina (or Nina-state) disaster winters have endless ways of screwing with us.
  19. Definitely. We take what we get. Ridge of death after Memorial Day says we start baking season soon.
  20. NJ always finds their way into these.
  21. Either that or the Euro are in for a total fail. Like epic splat in front of a million people.
  22. Somehow NJ always finds their way into these significant rain events. Can’t think of many LI/CT special rain events over the last 10 years (big exception the 2014 record soaker for ISP).
  23. Would be hysterical if this goes west enough to shaft much of LI after models 12 hours ago were mostly east.
  24. 12k and 3k NAM couldn’t be more different. 3k has 2” in Nassau County, 12k has 2 drops.
  25. We know where this one’s going. Keep the sprinklers on.
