  1. Yeah totals have been going down. I just think the models dont really handle NWFS all that well or it could just be this winter is cursed.
  2. This is interesting. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, mainly at elevations above 2500 feet, with locally higher amounts possible over the highest elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph at times. * WHERE...Cocke Smoky Mountains, Blount Smoky Mountains and Sevier Smoky Mountains Counties. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Thursday
  3. Cruso is a strange part of Haywood. Sometimes Cruso gets snow and sometimes Cruso doesn't. I don't think they do well with upslope snow though. They do better with southern storms than anything else. But I do think yall will see some snow tomorrow night and this weekend.
  4. Yes I think all will see some flake action form these events.
  5. GFS is on board with all 3 events also. So this could end up being a significant time period for us.
  6. Also at the end of the run there is another great signal for a nice event this weekend. Im saying signal because its the end of the NAMS run but still the GFS has been hinting at this the last few runs.
  7. Lol you just beat me to it. This is the best upslope look iv seen in a long time.
  8. The 18z NAM looks really good for tomorrow night into Thursday. Maybe just maybe some of the most favored areas could see 3 to 6 inches.
  9. Yeah we get the moisture coming in then we get some upslope snow on the back side. Not a bad look at all
  10. The 12z GFS continues to get my attention with the system this weekend. Something to definitely keep an eye on.
  11. Yeah the wind is going to be gusting. We may see some whiteout conditions if we get some nice snow squalls.
  12. 12z NAM still looks great for Tomorrow night into Thursday. Looks like even the valleys could see some snow if the NAM is to be believed.
  13. NAM still hammering on the upslope snow coming in Wednesday night into Thursday. The wave for this weekend looks a bit more robust. We will see but it looks like we will see multiple small events at this point. Better than nothing and it will turn pretty cold for all .
  14. The EURO has a few little snow events. Something to track at least and kind of goes along with the GFS and NAM.
  15. Its because of the extreme AO and NAO being so positive this season. We are very lucky seeing what we have seen already.
  16. Yeah we have a several bad years for sure. This winter is not over yet though. Sure it has been bad but we have a ton of variables on the table.
  17. Yes it has happened in 2011/2012. Winter is not over yet though. Still plenty of time to score.
  18. Yeah we will see. A very weird winter. We just cant seem to cash in.
  19. The next 7 to 10 days look interesting. Looks like we might have a few chances of snow and looks like we could possibly see some of the coldest temps of the season coming in.
  20. Time is rapidly running out for anyone outside the mountains. The chance for snow drastically decreases as we head into March outside the mountains. Especially with the way high latitude blocking looks. Its a wonder we have seen anything at all with a plus plus AO and NAO.
  21. For sure! Seems like if there is a way for us to get screwed we will.
