It's starting to pick up more dry air intrusion on mid-levels and drying out the precip. Still a nasty ice storm locally, (freezing drizzle accumulates faster that FZRA+) but the heavy stuff is moving up the 95 corridor.
Nice, I have to drop my car off in clarksville and my ice skating plans got kicked, so I may stop off. Though I may have to wait until tomorrow so I can get some of that Peanut Butter stout...
Yes on the beer, but I believe I've already got a date with the merriweather ice rink tomorrow evening. Still interested in the location of said hill though, good sleddin' hills are in short supply 'round here.
Spent about an hour and a half out with the kids. Rather brutal with the wind. Multiple measurements of 5-7" though lots and lots of drifting. probably another .5 to an inch on that by now but the back end is closing in quickly.
SN+ going on in Hanover. Can't even see some townhouses in the front of my neighborhood <.25 mile away. Likely closer to .1 mile. just north of 3" on the ground by estimation.
Everything south of I-70 looks to be at least 80 by now. I don't suspect we'll have much problem with bouyancy. HRRR has liked that I-70 line for several runs now so maybe a thermal boundary setting up there that we'll see some additional focus along
