I remember with most of the winters during the 80s & 90s, the way I survived (emotionally) was I'd hope for one decent snowstorm and just get on with life. Keeping expectations low kept me sane.

23 here at 6am

Approaching 6 inches now. I'm guessing 3 to 4 tops on the roads, but they are now plowing. Snowing steadily, not as heavy as earlier. Seems as if the forecast was right, but timing a bit off as it came in today instead of last night.

Up to 3.5 (measured) on non paved and about 1 to 1.5 on paved. And I'm south of orange county, in nw Morris County. Not looking to argue, just a point of information.
-
2 inches on non paved surfaces. Road covered, about 3/4 Inch or so there.
-
Woke up to 13 degrees here. Didn't expect that.
-
Yes. We were forecast for 5 to 8 inches & got nada!
-
19 here. Surprised it got that low.
-
Bottmed out at minus 4 here in Oak Ridge.

Agreed. Kinda reminds me of many winters in the 70s and 80s. We always seemed to be either too far north, too far south, too far east or too far west for any given storm. It was unbelievable at times.

Yes I do (I'm old :). Lived in Randallstown MD. for the "Blizzard of 66" as it came to be known.

About 6 inches. Finally into some heavier snow within last hour. Been light almost entire time until now. I'm guessing my ratios are pretty good -

I believe that Cape May received 34 inches from the 1899 blizzard but I could be wrong.
