  1. Tough to measure but at least 10 inches, windblown. My best guesstimate would be about 12. Light snow falling.
  2. 5 inches otg, light/moderate snow. Breeze starting to pick up.
  3. I don't think a travel ban is enforceable, per se. What they're really saying/warning is that if you go out and get stuck, you'll be on your own for a while. You won't be considered an emergency call.
  4. Nice and peaceful in here. Its been like Romper room in the main thread at times this morning!
  5. Snowing lightly since about 530am or so.
  6. Storm got to Hatteras & & turned due north.
  7. Its in the KU book. I have it. Im not going to copy & post it, cause it's probably copyright infringement.
  8. I was living in Randallstown, MD at the time & remember it well. Lots of snow & no school for week.. The KU book details the shift in the track which to it right over NJ.
  9. Amongst other things, the NWS has me at 7 to 13 inches, then ice. This forecast covers from central Delaware to NW NJ. Makes no sense, this should be broken into several different zones. They usually do that for these situations
  10. Regardless of which models are right, it appears we're in for a general 6 to 12 inch snowfall before any mix/change. I cannot believe that so many are miserable about that.
  11. LOL! This easily the best post of the day.
  12. Measured a touch over 3 inches. Not even an inch when I went to bed last night, so I guess there was some back building. Short of the 5 to 8 forecast, but I consider it a win considering the way things looked around 11pm last night.
  13. 5 inches otg ao 630AM. still snowing. Oak Ridge NJ. elevation 880 ft.
  14. Gone over to light freezing rain after about an inch of snow. 28 degrees, that's not good.
  15. 3 inches of snowfall, then some sleet. Our forecast was for 3 to 6, so we did verify albeit on the low end.
  16. I remember it. It took many by surprise as it wasn't well forecasted in advance. 12 inches by me.
  17. Minus 9, oak ridge nj, nw Morris County
