Just had a nice long rumble of thunder here, might be the first one this year. -
Down to 63 now after a high of 80. Feels like late May/early June.

Very tight gradient between areas near 80 and areas near 70 on wunderground. Warmth still hasn't reached ISP. Winds are roaring now.

72 and rising here, 80 me please. Edit: 80. This has to be one of the most rapid non-precip induced temp changes I’ve seen.

I feel the same way having lived in Far Rockaway. 68 here, at least 15 degrees colder there. Summer occasionally sucked too with that Ambrose jet.

Graupel, I thought it was raining at first. First precip in 15 days.

I can see virga to the north. Wind starting to roar overhead, still fairly calm at the surface, very weird sensation. 55 and mostly sunny. Last rain was 13 days ago.

High of 70 here as well. Low was 46.

It’d be nice if we could have westerly winds all spring until the ocean warms up.

Topped out at 62 here, low was 37. It’s no 75 but coming out of winter anything above 60 feels pleasant.

NWS saying 64, TWC saying 55. Models tend to treat Long Island as if it’s a buoy in the Atlantic so I trust the NWS here, the only time Long Island doesn’t keep pace with NYC/NJ is when it’s socked in with clouds/fog. It’s already 50 under cloudy skies, even if we somehow managed to stay under cloudy skies the whole day we’d likely still go beyond 55.

It’s crazy how many late Dec 60’s we’ve been seeing in recent years. 66 here currently, warmest day since Nov 27th which had a high of 67.

Not even 10 AM yet and it’s already the warmest day of the year so far...at only 56 degrees. I hit 55 in January.
