    Managed to reach 50 today, full sunshine made it feel even warmer, B+ rating for the first full day of winter.

    Hoping for the milder outcome, as always. Cold is useless, and even the mildest winters have snow, though a snowless winter in our climate is probably a case of when and not if.

    My high was 40, same low temp of 23. Currently 31. 12/16 - 31 37 12/17 - 31 35 12/18 - 22 41 12/19 - 17 27 12/20 - 20 35 12/21 - 23 40 Just a few miles south of you.

    Nice video. And even this looks a lot better than what materialized here. Nothing has been able to match the 12/24/13 snow squall for me. Dropped roughly 5 inches in about 40 minutes on the night before Christmas. Honestly my favorite snow event.

    Lasted about 10 minutes, light to moderate snow, finished with 1/32”, I’ll mark this one as a trace.

    Squall just arrived, it went from late afternoon to looking like midnight here.

    Light snow in Bridgeport. The entire landscape here was covered in ice this morning, very stark difference from NYC/Long Island.

    7.76” here for Dec....51.97” for the year. I’m glad we’ll be drying out, we could use a break from all the heavy rains.

    35 and a heavy sleet/rain mix in Islip. Ground is already somewhat slippery and precip just started.

    Took the words right out of my mouth lol. I absolutely hate it here during Jan/Feb. As much as I enjoy weather, I’ve never liked cold and I never will.

    2.6”, seasonal total stands at 6.1” now. Looked like a winter wonderland this morning.

    Just switched from rain to heavy snow within the last 10 minutes. Temp is 34.

    Just got very windy out of nowhere in Jamaica, it happened instantly, car is rocking around and street lights are flickering with strong gusts. Temp down to 45.

    42 and snowing. Always feels odd when that happens, like it’s not even cold cold. Highest temp I’ve seen snow was 49-50F.

    Lol I’m fine as long as it quickly melts, but it was unexpected (for me), things didn’t look too promising last night.

    3.5” here, more than I was expecting.

    Right on the southern edge of that band, looks like it’ll mainly impact extreme western Suffolk and Nassau. Should get clipped for a few minutes though. Temp still 32, haven’t measured yet.

    Meh. Sparse coating, grass still quite visible. Temp is 32 but the ground must be warmer.
