  1. 0.89” event total here.
  2. Getting some intermittent sunshine here, temp is 60. 0.52” earlier.
  3. If it was sunny and dry I wouldn’t really care about it being BN, but I just don’t see how anyone can enjoy this extended dreariness. It’s as if we no longer get those extended stretches of 60’s/70’s with sunshine and low humidity. We just instantly go from Seattle to Houston with no adjustment period.
  4. 65 here, closest we’ve been to average in quite a while.
  5. Thanks. I’d always thought of it as more of a light coating of less than 0.1”, didn’t know a couple of melted flakes fit the definition as well.
  6. What exactly constitutes a trace?
  7. 42 with a very light drizzle here. Haven't seen snow in over 3 months, I especially don’t want to see it now in late April.
  8. No hail here lol. Hail and subzero temperatures avoid me, I’ve never seen either.
  9. Sounds amazing. I have to get off of this island.
  10. Getting some close CTGs here. Rainfall is very underwhelming so far.
  11. I’ve never seen hail, maybe today I will.
  12. Seasonal lag is a PITA. Can you imagine how much better off we’d be if Spring behaved more like Fall? Fall weather (in reverse) + the stronger sunshine would be a dramatic improvement over this confused tepid mess of a season. Currently 40 degrees (and dropping) in the middle of the day, today’s max sun angle is over 60 degrees, elevation is close to sea level. Ridiculous.
  13. Got down to 30 here, first time below freezing since March 8th. It was very brief, thankfully, but still rather annoying.
  14. Warning was definitely warranted, these conditions are dangerous. Legit feels like a tropical storm outside.
  15. Yeah, and I hope damage is minimal, there’s been a nonstop barrage of sirens ongoing here for the past 10 minutes.
  16. Winds aren’t letting up anymore like they were earlier, it’s more constant, feeling a bit Sandy-ish, obviously not the height of Sandy which was on another level, but how it felt in the hours prior.
  17. This is feeling like the beginning of a fairly significant wind event. I’m feeling the ground vibrate with some of these gusts.
  18. Leaf out slowed a bit but I see quite a few trees with small leaves and buds popping open on others and we’re still weeks ahead of schedule. No freeze here since Mar 16, and even that wasn’t a real freeze, low was 32. Have to go all the way back to Mar 8 for anything sub freezing.
  19. Lol it really hasn't snowed in over 2 months, and it’s only March. *knock on wood*
  20. Staten Island & Central Jersey have the best spring climo in the area. Best area climate in general. Temp here was still in the low/mid 50’s at about 3:30pm. Holding at 69 here now, hasn’t budged in about 15 minutes following a rapid rise.
  21. 65 and rising now, new high for the day. I repeat, where was this earlier?
  22. Only 63 here today, didn’t clear out until almost 4:00, nice finish but absolute garbage for most of the day. And it’s still 60 right now, where was this energy earlier??? And there’s 70’s just a couple of miles to my west/northwest, wtf.
  23. 71 now here, finally! And it feels like it’s been quite a long time since we’ve had dry(-ish) heat, with humidity it’s like we always fall just shy of 100, though the heat index sometimes goes way beyond 100.
