  1. High of 75, low of 62. Cloudy all day. 0.07” so far today; 1.50” for the month of May.
  2. Dew point maxed out at 69, almost the first 70. Temp topped out at 77.
  3. 74/66 Skies cleared out earlier than both yesterday and the day before, wasn’t expecting to see much clearing today.
  4. Another 75 degree high today, cleared out much more quickly than yesterday though.
  5. 72/62 here, still socked in with clouds. At least it’s warm.
  6. 70 now, still overcast, people are out barbecuing.
  7. 68 and bright overcast here, sun is faintly visible. Only 0.01” today which fell overnight and may have been fog/dew instead of actual rain. We could use the rain, but I’m glad it’s not raining, if that makes sense lol. Feels good out.
  8. 75 here, on the edge of clear (to the south) and overcast (to the north). Feels distinctly bright, max sun angle is 70° now.
  9. I’m far enough north to be warmer than the south shore and miss the sea breeze on most occasions but far enough south to be droughty for extended periods during the summer. @psv88 is only a few miles WNW of me and gets more rain, sometimes inches more. Our temps on the other hand are typically within a degree or so of each other’s. The LIE is probably a better demarcator for precipitation than it is for temperatures.
  10. 1.24” for the month here. We needed a rest from the constant rains though. Soil moisture meter underneath one of my plants was at 100% for virtually all April and into early May, it’s 76% at the moment. I’m surprised nothing rotted.
  11. I swear I’ve been hearing and reading about an impending solar minimum + mini ice age since the mid/late 2000’s when I first started getting into weather/climate. Meanwhile the planet has continued to warm right before everyone’s eyes.
  12. Topped out at 78 here, low of 61, first low in the 60’s.
  13. 80 here. Dews in the mid 60’s, heat index of 82.
  14. 77 here, already 2 degrees above forecast, hopefully my first 80. A reminder that Long Island can torch when it wants to.
  15. 87F to 93F is my sweet spot, with dews in the 70’s and partly cloudy skies. 38F here this morning, this is far and away the latest I can recall seeing 30’s. Very quick rebound but still it’s ridiculous.
  16. No backdoors please, not after such a horrific April/early May. I can’t take it anymore. 62 today, but at least it’s sunny.
  17. No hail. This is one weather phenomenon I’ve yet to actually witness.
  18. Fairbanks, Alaska will be in the 80’s today. My warmest day so far this year had a high of 75.
  19. Nothing but ominous clouds, and sunshine. Had a few drops of spit on the windshield on the LIE.
