68 and bright overcast here, sun is faintly visible. Only 0.01” today which fell overnight and may have been fog/dew instead of actual rain.
We could use the rain, but I’m glad it’s not raining, if that makes sense lol. Feels good out.
I’m far enough north to be warmer than the south shore and miss the sea breeze on most occasions but far enough south to be droughty for extended periods during the summer. @psv88 is only a few miles WNW of me and gets more rain, sometimes inches more. Our temps on the other hand are typically within a degree or so of each other’s.
The LIE is probably a better demarcator for precipitation than it is for temperatures.
1.24” for the month here.
We needed a rest from the constant rains though. Soil moisture meter underneath one of my plants was at 100% for virtually all April and into early May, it’s 76% at the moment. I’m surprised nothing rotted.
I swear I’ve been hearing and reading about an impending solar minimum + mini ice age since the mid/late 2000’s when I first started getting into weather/climate. Meanwhile the planet has continued to warm right before everyone’s eyes.
87F to 93F is my sweet spot, with dews in the 70’s and partly cloudy skies.
38F here this morning, this is far and away the latest I can recall seeing 30’s. Very quick rebound but still it’s ridiculous.
