    Going to be a very close call south of I-40, I would pay attention to High Res NAM. IMO, it handles the CAD better

    High Res NAM is a touch colder than 12km, dewpoints are colder as well

    I can pretty much guarantee something epic will happen this winter (whether it be torch or winter storms). It's 2020, the year of insanity. But I agree, let's take this shi* pattern during the period we hardly ever get winter weather outside the mountains. It can only get better from here. The GFS in the past day or two has relaxed off it's torch the entire run.

    6z NAM is even cooler... Our area would be the coolest place east of the Mississippi, Eastern Canada included. A 1031 High over New York State and a Low off the coast, would be great, in January
