  1. Ya I’m supposed to leave work around 4 but starting to think I may leave early just in case. Not to mention it would be pretty cool to see the clouds approaching as I drive SE in 95.
  2. That’s some strong wording “There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits” damn.
  3. Still too Far East but talk about a huge shift west. 990 east of hatteras.
  4. So it may mean nothing in the end but the NAM is so ridiculously different than its 12z run right now, it currently has a 994 off the GA Coast. Much closer to what the EURO has.
  5. Much better than what all the other models are showing. Hr 120 was close to something big for us
  6. Euro actually is rather interesting.. the southern low at hr96 is way north of other models. And then there is a 985 bomb over ct at hr 120 lol
  7. At hr 72 the euro has the low off the Florida coast while the CMC/GFS have the same southern low already north of Bermuda lol
  8. Way closer than any other model to doing it.. And way slower with the southern Vort as well.
  9. Crazy driving to work today on I95, got on at exit 35 in Milford where it was just rain, but right when you hit the rest area at exit 41 in orange all of a sudden the tops of all the trees are completely glazed in ice. I can literally see from my office where the line of no ice/ice started. Didn’t go farther than 41 but down towards new haven looks completely covered in ice. Pretty cool.
  10. This may be the first time I’m ever happy with 33F and rain lol keep that freezing rain out of here. Good luck to those in north CT, hoping it’s just a sleet storm for you.
  11. New London is at 31 yet here I am at 36. Real odd.
  12. So the freezing rain can stay north of me? That would be great. Kevin can have it lol
  13. Want to trade places? I will gladly take your snow followed by a little sleet.
  14. Gfs has been too warm with winter storms for over a year now. But if the low goes to the north of us then yes it would get rather warm.
  15. CMC now cuts over CT as well lol no big deal for us really seeing as we still get front end snow and just avoid the crippling ice, but our friends up north may not appreciate it.
  16. Low still ends up being too tucked, but that look prior to hour 54 now at least gives us all a chance of a solid front end dump. We take.
  17. I think I approve of this so far. As long as it doesn’t bring more freezing rain later.
  18. Guess you won’t have to bother with bringing the snow monster down to the coast.
  19. I’ve definitely seen them hang on longer than the south shore of Long Island, multiple storms where north Long Island is snowing and Long Beach is raining and near 40, but never seen coastal ct switch while north Long Island is still holding on. Just being picky though the map is reasonable.
  20. Nice map, though as a ct coast native my entire life I cant wrap my head around how SW ct would be raining while northern Long Island would still be a wintery mix.
  21. CMC looks similar to the GFS but without the backside.
