Would easily take that over these SWFE that haven’t even given us much snow in the first place. I remember when even these events would at least give you a solid 6 inches before it got ugly. No point in it being cold if we are going to continue to find every possible way not to snow.
NAM looked great at hr 54. Solid for NYC. But then poof there goes the heavier rates once it gets in CT. Looks like this winter is trying to find as many ways as possible to screw us.
Gotta say I did not expect the radar to be as crappy as it is. It hasn’t even done a single thing down here. Can’t even worry about sleet/rain if there is no precipitation in the first place. Man this winter sure finds any way possible to completely suck.
Feeling semi optimistic we can stay mostly snow on the south shore of CT, but it will be close. While there is a low cutting into PA it is very weak, and a transfer is happening, so it won’t have too much of a warm push.
NAM looks like 3-6 for coastal SNE. Heaviest snow at night with light snow lingering throughout the day. Sign me the F up considering how bad this winter has been.
Look at correlation coefficient on radar. Tells you real time where the sleet line is, which is an indication of where the upper levels are going above freezing. I use my RadarScope app but the below link works as well:
