  1. Just paid $4.23 per gallon for heating fuel. What have others been paying?
  2. @HIPPYVALLEY just smashed his Tandy after seeing that map.
  3. Some of the biggest assholes I've ever encountered were Bruins fans in Montreal. Made me embarrassed to be from the same country.
  4. 3 dead, 5 injured. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/us/live-news/michigan-state-university-shooting-updates-2-13-23/index.html
  5. Smoked meat at Dunn’s and poutine somewhere too.
  6. Definitely worth it. Great city with lots to do. Great food. It can be expensive though. Lots of nightlife, though Rue Ste. Catherine is much tamer now.
  7. Ice floes on St. Lawrence north of Quebec City. Not a great pic but I was going 100 kph.
  8. Left Maine today. Had a great time. Taking the northern route home through Canada because I’ve never been through that part of NB and PQ. Lots of snow where we were staying. Big banks.
  9. I would say there are those similarities. The biggest difference is the landscape. It’s really open. It’s not flat but there aren’t the steep hills and deep valleys like VT and NH. There are gigantic fields like you don’t see anywhere in VT anywhere else in NE that I know of. It is definitely worth visiting, especially if you like outdoor recreation.
  10. I didn't but I there have been news stories about this happening, especially in tech companies. https://www.businessinsider.com/google-layoffs-alphabet-jobs-pichai-email-slap-in-the-face-2023-1 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11655877/Amazon-begins-layoffs-18-000-workers-informing-email.html
  11. There was 5-6” when we left Limestone around 9:30 this morning. Snow let up fora while and started again around 2:00. Snowed at a decent clip all the way back to the hotel. Maybe 8” not real sure. Still snowing when we went to dinner.
  12. They lay off people via email now. Watch out!
  13. Not with this group. It’s all officials from different state and provincial snowmobile associations. We left at 9:30 from Limestone and got here around noon.
  14. Not my first choice but it wasn’t as bad as I feared it would be. Rode to the Lakeview with the same group today. Fresh powder this morning. Somewhere between 4-6”
  15. Yes, it’s 90. We went to Dean’s for lunch. We broke into 2 groups. Staying at the old Loring Air Force Base in Limestone. It’s the winter meeting of the Northeast Chapter of the International Snowmobile Council. NY, MA, ME, NH, VT plus PEI, NB and Nova Scotia. We are missing Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland from the meeting.
  16. That makes sense. I’ve had a pretty good week up here. Not epic miles for a lot of guys but nearing 600 for the four days of riding I’ve had with one more to go tomorrow. Huge group today, 36 sleds. We rode from Limestone to Portage. People from as far away as Nova Scotia and western NY.
  17. @WinterWolfdo you leave your sled up at the place you’re renting in St.Agatha or trailer it every time you go up?
  18. Got warm up here today. 35°. The snow is still good though.
  19. Crossing the Aroostook River outside Presque Isle. It’s a pretty wide river.
