I think we are about at 6". There was a brief period of mist/sprinkles with some sleety stuff but it went back to snow for a while. Mostly shut off now. It is man snow though. I didn't even attempt to use my snowblower at the top of the driveway, I used the snow scoop. Roads are a mess.
It's still HCS but they changed the platform. Not as many posting there. There are a few FB groups. New England Sled Talk is one and a guy I know started one for Vermont called Vermont Hardcore Sledders. I don't like the FB groups as much and I still check in on HCS in case there are any questions I can answer in the VT forum.
Woke up between 7:00-7:30 and there wasn’t much snow. Fell back asleep until 10:00 (I got sucked into a Law and Order marathon last night) an woke up the second time to 3” of the heaviest snow imaginable. Still snowing at a good clip.
Back then though people were riding around farm fields on Jags and Citations or Sno Jets like my wife and her brothers, when snow was low. Times have changed.
To add a little anecdotalness to you step gradient theory, my house is at 1250ft. It is not uncommon for the battleground to be in my vicinity, down the hill more rain, up the hill more snow and mixing back and forth here at my house.
In order to get fired from this admin, you would have thought they published a definitive confirmation that climate change was not only real but would be more expensive than anyone has ever calculated and proof it could all be averted by closing every golf course.
We have laminate now that we put in 20 years ago and it has lasted well but it is just about at the end of it's life. I'm thinking of the Luxury Vinyl Planks when we replace it.
