  1. Looked one of those haboubs that roll over Phoenix every once in a while
  2. Got the squall warning too. Drive through some heavy snow around exit 6. Visibility down to 1/2-3/4 mile for a time and the roads started to get pretty covered. No wind to speak of though. Didn’t seem like a true squall though. About an inch or so of accumulation at home.
  3. That is the top of the list if I were to get a new one. For some reason, my wife thinks replacing our 40 year old cabinets is more important. Just can't reason with her! 3" with light snow falling when I left for work at 6:30
  4. My sled is an ‘07, my wife rides a 2011 and my son is on the newest, a 2012. I love to ride but I would have a hard time justifying the cost of a new one. Even though there is alway some point in the season when I see a brand new sled somewhere out on the trail and start thinking “A payment wouldn’t be that bad. I can afford $150 a month.” Come May and June though, I’m pretty happy not to be sending that check each month of the non-riding season!
  5. I have a friend who has a ‘17 Sidewinder. MotoSki orange highlights. 137” I think. 200 hp. He got it to ride in Quebec but has been riding it around here more and sort of wishes he has the 129” since our trails are tighter. Nice sled but way more than I need.
  6. I have a 4 stroke Jag and my wife and son both have 600 ACEs. Mine is heavy but balanced really well with the motor low in the chassis. It handles well and feels lighter than it is. I don’t do off-trail so that doesn’t factor for me. The ACEs are nice and not much heavier than 2 strokes. Great sleds for what they are. My son says he’s seen 75 on his and that’s more than enough for a 15 year old. He keeps saying he wants an Etec and I say he can have one when he can pay for it.
  7. On my way home from a meeting in Northfield tonight, 89 between exit 5 and 6 had snow and what I think must have been freezing fog. Windshield was icing up and the car thermo never got over 22f. Still snowing with about 3”.
  8. My new sled has the shot start, but you still have to pull it over first thing in morning. Gonna be real fun when it's zero out. You got the 850. Nice.
  9. To be fair though “Ginx phone pic” is a time honored jab.
  10. I, for one, did not like the active pattern of the past couple of days.
  11. Don’t be so sad. You were begging for rain and 40’s all summer!
  12. Looks like OKPowdah (Sam) drew that up!
  13. Royal Melbourne is an Alistair McKenzie course and is truly one of the gems of the golf world. It seems to be playing brutally hard and fast this week. I wish o had a simulator close by to play in over the winter. The closest one to me is up in BTV and it’s pretty busy most of the time. I have a mental block with those things anyway. I play crappily enough as it is and the mats and screen just seem to enhance my crappiness.
  14. Looks like I spoke a bit soon. The US made a little bit of a comeback towards the end and are 6.5-3.5, which is the same 3 points they were down at the end of day 1. However at one point in the back 9 it looked like they could have lost all 5 points today. The most interesting President’s Cup in years.
  15. I dunno, I sorta like that look.
  16. Resurrecting this thread for the President’s Cup. Currently the US is getting whacked around by the Internationals. Not sure what to make of it. I don’t think Tiger made bad captain’s picks and he’s played well. They’re just getting it taken to them. I love the course though. I’ve watched the Australian Open a couple of times and love Royal Melbourne as a course. Playing those Sandbelt courses someday is definitely a bucket list item for me.
  17. Since you have already killed winter with your sled purchase, then obviously I should just go ahead and get a new one too. Might as well get it during an already killed winter rather than risk killing it myself next season! My wife will be thrilled when I tell I have to get a new one this year.
  18. Boy, you have just been a ray of sunshine lately!
  19. And there aren't enough people that get impacted.
  20. Nothing at all down here. I was expecting a little rain/mix.
  21. I upgraded to oxen several months ago.
  22. That snow machine even got over this way. It snowed for most of the morning and stayed cloudy just about all day. Not as much as you guys got but wintry appeal ruled the day.
  23. Had a very New Englandy evening. Went and bought my wife some new boots for Christmas and then went to the quintessential New England town of Hanover, NH for a Cornell/Dartmouth hockey game. Walking through the town to the rink with fresh snow and cold temps felt old timey New England holiday to me. Oh and for Will and OceanSt. who I believe are both Cornell alums, Dartmouth took down the #2 in the nation Cornell Big Red 2-1.
  24. Flow must be unblocked. Snowing here too. I don’t think it was forecast.
