  2. Just under 4" of snow/sleet/ice/crap here. The roads are were pretty much left alone in anticipation of the mixed bag o'crap and that seems to have worked ok as they weren't glazed. Glad I put my winters on back in October when my summer tires were shot. A bit earlier than I would prefer but at least I was ready.
  3. We had a really thick crust this morning but it was all back to snow by the time I left for work around 6:45. Glad I was forced to put my winter tires on a few weeks early. We just bought a new car yesterday and they are going to put winters on before we pick it up and it may be next week before we get it.
  4. Pretty sure they make up for the lost tourism dollars with the lack of lawsuits from people slipping on slippery sidewalks.
  5. Yeah, it was a ping fest here for a while. Some light snizzleish type stuff now
  6. Nice. I have a friend who lives on Cumberland Head. Beautiful area
  7. Wiz is going to be pissed he didn’t chase today!
  8. I’ll sell her mine, so I can get a new one.
  9. Welcome! Plattsburgh hasn’t been represented here before. Will be nice to have obs from the other side of the CPV. Seems like it’s colder over there than at BTV. 3.5” as of 8:00 pm. Measured on top of the car and the deck.
  10. Been snowing since 1:30-2:00 or so. Not sure how much is out there yet as we have been in a car dealership all afternoon. State plow truck just went by though. Maybe 1.5” on the parked cars?
  11. If Organizing Low still lives in St. Albans he might be in the jackpot.
  12. Why don’t I get the text messages? It must be some setting I’m missing on my iPhone.
  13. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGHTUESDAY AFTERNOON * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 with locally higher amounts possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northeast and northwest Vermont, and the Adirondacks of northern New York. * WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.
  14. This is somewhat impressive for this early in November, MPV went below 32f at 4:00 pm on the 7th and hasn’t been above since. Currently 20f.
  15. So now I have my regular fear of the rubber band snapping back and giving us a crappy rest of the cold season piled on top of my fear that there is no possible way we can get 2 winters in a row with snow cover that starts before November 15th and goes all the way. I’m too neurotic And nervous to enjoy this.
  16. Probably the same band that sprayed around like a loose fire hose over JSpin and brushed us here in Montpelier occasionally this afternoon
  17. Looks like about 1” here. 21f on the car thermo when I left. Ugh, can’t get the ruler photo right side up.
  18. Was just going to post this. Great news Me too
  19. About .75” here. Going to be some black ice in the morning.
  20. Has Diane already slid off the road yet? These southern drivers can’t be trusted in snow!
  21. Northern Greens getting some snow. These are VTRANS RWIS pics of Rt.105 and Rt. 242 in the Jay Peak area
  22. Lol. Too late to turn back now!
  23. It’s a tourist trap now. This was taken this past August when my 15 year old son and I visited Germany
