  1. Must be fake pics. I heard all was lost for foliage in all of SNE.
  2. Absolutely gorgeous when I left home around 2:00. Overcast but no rain down here in sea coast NH. The foliage on the way down was very nice. The elevated area between Lebanon, NH and Concord was especially nice.
  3. What a drop off running down the middle of the state. It’s even too flat out there for weenies to have anything to jump off. I guess they’re stuck with toasters in the bathtub.
  4. I don’t know, some had a big snow year
  5. LOL, I was thinking the opposite. Granted I’m in town not up where you are.
  6. I’ve heard of that one. Are there a lot of vendors or is it just racing? That one is my favorite. Epping can get a bit overwhelming with its size. Augusta is the perfect size for me. Of course every sledder should go to Epping at least once to experience it. Just about anything snowmobile related you can imagine is there.
  7. Yes. I’ll be in a booth promoting snowmobiling in VT. Next weekend I’ll be at the show in Maine and the following weekend one in Pennsylvania.
  8. Hoping this moves far out to sea. Going to be in SE NH this weekend with 40,000 snowmobilers. Won’t help much if the fields are mud pits. Dry through the weekend would be nice.
  9. Not quite lol. Growing up I heard a lot about both events from old timers. I knew some old farmers that would tell you about things you could see that were remnants of the damage done by those events.
  10. Sorry for your losses. Hope things start looking up for you.
  11. Friend just north of Montpelier said he dumped 2.25” out of his rain gauge.
  12. Looks like MPV hit 29 overnight but it’s up to 40 now.
  13. Seems like lots of leaf drop today. Peak is passing fast.
  14. Why does anyone who may disagree have to be “offended”? I think Jerry was spot on. Why should he not politely tell James his take?
  15. My brother had 98 today in Thomasville, GA. He said he’s about had it. He said he doesn’t think it rained at all in September. He moved back down there in 1999 I’m not sure he really will move back up here but he’s definitely think about the mountains along north Georgia or NC.
  16. 48 in Hinesburg Vt. where I am sitting through an office “retreat”.
  17. That’s the stuff that drove settlers on the Plains insane. Crushing early winter after a poor harvest. Sitting there in your sod roofed hut listening to the constant howl of the wind.
  18. I think just about every year goes the same way with me. I’ll look around and think it seems duller than usual and then one day everything goes boom! The foliage gets as vibrant as ever. This year I thought it was good early but that we have had some early leaf drop which has toned it down a bit. There is still some green out there too. I was in the Corinth/Topsham/Orange area today and there was some very vibrant views.
  19. Some slight overcast, think it’s enough to keep us from going low?
  20. Not yet for me. Brought my snowblower down for some pre-season work and they told me at least 2 weeks. After that, it’s on like donkey Kong.
  21. Took a ride to W. Leb, NH today. Down VT RT. 14 to East Randolph and then over the mountain to VT Rt. 110 through Chelsea and Tunbridge. Quintessential Vermont valleys and generally a very scenic ride any time of year. To me, it was a bit dull and seemed brighter before the last couple of rain events. It seems like we lost some leaves to the rain and wind.
  22. Should have been readings, as in measurements. You guys are usually so precise with precip totals etc. I thought "I got alot of rain" was funny.
