  1. I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat
  2. The car thermo ranged between -10° & 4° on the way into work
  3. Living in VT, there are no tolls. When I go to Mass or somewhere else with tolls, I’ll just drive through the EZ Pass lane anyway. They’ll send you a bill.
  4. Was just thinking the same. We are starting to rebuild a useful pack and I don’t want to lose what we have. If we have to get light snows to keep what we have, I’ll take it.
  5. I guess I wasn’t paying attention but I didn’t expect light snow tonight. Roads actually got a little greasy on the way home from grocery shopping. 10F on the car thermo.
  6. I think the Packers should retreat to the panic room
  7. 2.25” here. A little underwhelming, not that the 5” BTV progged for is all that overwhelming. Probably get a little more overnight. Went through some moderate type stuff on the way home from Waterbury. This stuff pretty much blew off the travel lane on 89. Did pass one car that was having a hard time going up the hill between exit 8 and 7. Looked like an SUV so they must have had really bad tires.
  8. I was just kidding around. There is a numerical aspect to the criteria but it varies depending on location. I thing OceanWx posted an explanatory map a while back.
  9. Because we are manly men who can handle the snow. We don’t need no stinkin’ Warnings.
  10. He’d get fired by his employer?
  11. The NWS employee just over the hill reported 8.2" so I was not too far off with my guess VERMONT ...Addison County... 12. Here is BTV's current thinking
  13. Had 2"-3" overnight, pretty windy though. I'm going to say a final total of somewhere between 8" & 10"
  14. BTV mentions it in their discussion Unfortunately, the magnitude and direction of this jet will likely allow for downsloping along the northern slopes of the Adirondacks and Champlain Valley, with locally lower snowfall totals in these areas.
  15. It is. It happens once or twice a year and is usually good for a few unexpected extra inches. In 2007 we had some sort of lake effect streamer that absolutely pounded us with about 10”. A couple miles either direction had less than half that. We then got an MLK Day sleet bomb that sort of limped is along to the great VDay storm and a string of big snows through most of March. Town meeting day storm, St.Patricks Day storm were all 12”-20” if memory serves me.
  16. That <1” for my area has busted badly already. I think I’m near 2” since 5:00 and it’s still going
  17. See that streamer shooting straight down past where 89 makes a sharp south turn? That’s been over my house. We must have close to 2” more since I snowblowed the driveway between 4:00 and 5:00.
  18. With him it’s like what my says to me a lot, it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.
  19. 6.5” here at home, enough to have to snowblow the driveway. BTV predicted 3”-4” so we had a little bit of an over performer.
