  1. So a nice looking line formed just SE moving away. Shocker! Here's the grass in the back yard
  2. On LWX, click Current Conditions and scroll to Rainfall, then set your map (1 day, 7, 14, 30, etc) and zoom in. It's kinda pixely and not nearly as nice as that iWeathernet map, but it goes back farther. My folks in northern Calvert just got yet another nice shower. The rich get richer!
  3. Last 30 days showing the green 1.5 - 2.0 hole that my area's in. I don't have a gauge up this year but I bet we are closer to the 1.5 if even less
  4. Take a look at these 2 am to 7 am obs from St. Louis airport. That must've been some good sleeping weather
  5. That MoCo cell faded fast! It was loud when passing thru around Poolesville, now I don't hear anything. Got a brief shower here but mostly missed just south. Hope we have more later
  6. I can hear that cell in western MoCo -- lots of long, loud thunder booms
  7. Lot of scattered power outages yesterday. We were out from 1:30 PM to about 6:45 PM. Hoping for a nice shot of rain later
  8. That gust front was impressive! Had some gusts to 30-35 and the temp went from 96 to 77 in minutes. Going to sit outside for a while now and enjoy the comfortable conditions
  9. Just a few short weeks before temps start dropping off. I love late Aug and Sept!
  10. I saw that article. My milkweeds are doing well and I've seen a few monarchs in the last few days finally. Usually Aug and Sept are my big monarch months.
  11. Was just out for a bit and it definitely feels drier. 91/66 Cumberland at 94 and Oakland 75 -- you folks with place out there have it nice!
  12. I found it -- in those peaks around 12,000 feet. Wild looking forecast though -- wonder what it's like there in winter! 83/70 now and movin' on up
  13. 89/70. Tasty looking t-storm just rolled thru Calvert and dropped their temp to 75 I was looking at temps/dews in northern MS and eastern AR and there are many HX readings of 112-120
  14. 0.67 which is the best rain in weeks here. Very much needed Looked at CoCoRaHS for last 30 days -- Jefferson in southern FredCo has 2.06 while a spot in far NW DC has 14.37!
  15. Yes! We finally caught a nice thundershower which was so needed for the parched lawn. No bad winds or hail which I am fine with
  16. Another flood watch. LOL I have had more flood watches than tenths of inches of rain for the past few weeks
  17. Another dry day in the central MD desert. Yard is hard as a rock and it's really gonna get crispy here with hot temps moving in this week
  18. Fixed it for you. But man is it muggy out there! 83/72
  19. Enjoyed a nice afternoon/evening outside at a winery with friends then back home on the deck, confident the whole time that rain would not ruin our fun. Desert privilege pays sometimes I still believe I am under an inch for the month and expect 0.00 on Monday
  20. The area could use a break from severe anyway after last Tuesday. With real heat finally building in next week, anyone who loses power in storms on Monday will be really crying
  21. Nice morning at 68 degrees. Best time to sit outside before the annual cicadas get going. The gnats are really bad this summer with it being so dry
  22. Last 30 days. Amazing how some places have less than 2" (my little green pixel) and others nearby have 6-10 plus.
  23. Managed 0.23 from our thundershower which is decent for this area. Might get us close to a whole inch for the month
  24. Wow just read your posts, that is some crazy stuff -- sounds like 80-plus gusts? Even if straight-line winds, being on top of that ridge probably made them stronger in your yard
