Right on cue. I'll take my 0.15 and sprinkles next week.
-
Thanks for posting that! The iweather rainfall map I used before no longer works either so this is great
-
It was frustrating seeing Gaithersburg just 10 miles away getting a heavy shower but that's the way it goes here. Cool start today at 53
-
Ran the sprinklers for the garden beds; grass will have to just go dormant. I've accepted that this will be an extreme drought summer
-
Much nicer air this morning and maybe we get to enjoy a beautiful Friday. Here's the closest AQI measurement to me -- look at that spike early Thursday morning reaching 409 at 5 am
-
What a glorious week it would have been without that smoke. I'll take a Bermuda high and southerly winds please

Mid 60s to low 70s at noon on June 5 with full sun. Amazing!

That's not good to hear as you are the third different location I know of where activity is way down this year (me in Germantown, parents in northern Calvert, and you). I've kept notes for over 10 years and it's been very consistent: arrive late April, lots around except for a bit of a quiet period in mid-late May(probably nesting), then lots again for rest of summer. I keep two feeders out of sight from each other plus lots of attracting flowers. Other years I could sit by a window or on the deck and see them around almost all the time. Now I might see one brief visit if I sit out there for a half hour. I've had whole days where I didn't see a single one and that never happened in past summers. I was wondering if the dryness or the super-warm winter had something to do with it but that doesn't make sense. I hope there hasn't been some kind of big population decline like what has happened to monarch butterflies some years. I have not been able to find anything doing web searches. It's still just early June so I hope they show up soon. -

Wow the 7-day QPF outlook with zero. Time to start running the sprinklers even for the grass and watering established shrubs. We need rain soon! Flower garden looking good but I have almost no hummingbirds this year. I always have had lots by now so I have no idea what's going on. -
There must be some good amounts from AA County as showers have been coming in from the Bay all afternoon. No rain here but that's OK. Like another poster said, I'll let the grass go and water the garden beds.

What a gorgeous day! Bright sunshine and 73. Folks in the Carolinas must be sick with that mess of a forecast. It's crazy to see highs in the 50s with driving rain in places like Charlotte NC and Columbia SC while people in Maine are grilling lobsters with highs in the 80s

Spring in the mid-atlantic! At least Sat looks nice locally. Poor beaches though
-
Went out to check the gardens and it feels like early April! Brrrrrrr breezy and 50

Yeah, and before the possible washout. Man if this happens to this weekend after so many nice days in a row, people are gonna be mad! From LWX: ...there has been a trend toward unsettled conditions for the weekend...In fact, there is a possibility for coastal low pressure to impact the area, which would further enhance the threat for rain, some which could be heavy

Nice little shower and 70. My oh my does the forecast look beautiful the next few days!

Yikes frost advisory all the way into central MD. Gonna be a close call with all my tender annuals in the ground! Northern PA looking at a hard freeze with temps as low as mid-20s -
Damn CAPE that is beautiful! I look out my back window and I see the back wall of 5 houses 25 feet away LOL
-
I think that PA batch was supposed to be our rain, and the stuff this afternoon will be south. Going out now to water my garden LOL
-
-
80s today and 50s tomorrow with rain LOL. Maryland gonna Maryland
-
Starting out clear and 45, looking forward to a beautiful day. Forecast for next 7 looks great -- no big heat in sight just nice spring temps

I've tried spray repellents and they don't really work long. After having two nice potted plants attacked and destroyed I got these pot grids linked below. You can cut them to size and cover with a thin layer of mulch for looks. The little monsters can't dig in there any more. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B31C21XQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 -
Wow where? I got down to 39 and saw a little frost on some roofs. Hopefully no more cold nights because I am ready to get annuals in the ground!

Tiny little shower just rolled down 270 and it actually rained pretty good for a half minute. Those ones west of Hagerstown heading SSE look fairly robust. Looking forward to tomorrow's sun and mid-60s
