Really good news. Wishing for the best in the new year for Mid Atlantic. Hopefully lots of great storms and snows.

I just SAVOR this topic so much! 2009-2010 was straight from Heaven! Who needs heaven with all that fresh snow that season! We were on one HELL of a HEATER, let me tell you! I got the damned BAJORKAS worked out of me digging the snow! All my neighbors on Greenwood Drive were demanding I shovel their walks! They blamed ME for all the snow lmao! That was the year I got to go to Charles Town Races and Slots and I got to see with my own eyes what must have been well over 30 inches of fresh snow on the ground in the Charles Town region! I took epic jebwalks and my late dad was so embarrassed he was in tears! Family never did understand. Route 9 had unbelievable drifts, that had been cut thru. I just gaped in awe! I had never, ever before, ever seen so much snow in real life! Some of the drifts were downright dangerous! The casino security just grinned as they watched me take hundreds of snow pics on their grounds, after I asked if I could. They already knew me all too well. Just ask them today about a guy called JD and the snow, and reading blogging PDF's for hours on end. I had everyone calling me JD at Charles Town. I was always walking around, jebwalking the place as I used to say years and years ago! I was always keeping records on paper, trying to beat the system. Ha ha never did. House edge always won. Boy I LOVED that place with ALL MY HEART, who needs heaven with a winter like 2009-2010 and a place like West Virginia! West Virginia gets more snow than many places in the northern Northeast Kingdom! We will in all likelihood, never see another season like 2009-10, for hundreds of years, and climate change is making it even less likely. The only way it would come close is an outright global ice age and a snowball Earth. No way. Not with the runaway heating going on and no way to ever stop it.

Even better news to bolster Mid Atlantic snow probabilities. It is raining hard at 8200 feet at Palisades Tahoe. Things are really starting to look up for snow and the Mid Atlantic. Use the Kubota, then really push the snowpiles way over the top by getting a decent shovel and digging snow, pile it higher. Erect scaffolding if you have to! Get that snow piled up even higher! You dig snow with enthusiasm, the snow gods will favor the Mid Atlantic. You'll get a captured storm that will pivot in place for days right over Washington DC and the greater region. Always dig the snow, wherever possible! And take epic jebwalks! Slide for JOY on that ice! Yell woooooo-hooooo at the top of your lungs!

Only old men use a Kubota to move snow. You dig that snow! Pile it up high! Always use a Jebman Shovel.

Both of these posts are eminent signature material. The discussions up in here have been particularly entertaining of late.

It's about frackin' time, Reaper!

I am so depressed about no substantial rain in south central Texas all winter that I am thinking of jumping.

SnowLover22 you are a genius. Thank you very much. The entire document is now on my drive cloud as well as on my 5G tablet. I can tell you, I will be GLUED to this entire document thru the night. Thanks again. You have made my day.

Wow they got to enjoy mid 60s dewpoints! Plus incredible torrential rains! I would have been out on one hell of an E-P-I-C jebwalk, right in the low water areas, just savoring the water levels rising all around me! Kind of like taking an epic jebwalk in the Bay of Fundy as the tide is coming in! Or the Holy Island Causeway in England as the tide is coming in! Man I am truly crrazy about rising waters! South Carolina is such a wonderful place to live, and it gets such incredible weather! Oh by the way folks. 7,000th Post.

That rain shield is amazing! It's so BIG! I have snapped dozens of snapshots! There are HUMONGOUS GLOBS of solid yellow and even some RED up in there! I am so damned JEALOUS over all of your rain, it's not even funny.
-
Deguy. Thanks. I appreciate the second hotdog on my commentary about how bad I need water. Have a nice day. lol
-
I noticed deguy that you awarded me a hotdog over my excitement over the incredible Mid Atlantic Rain Shield! Yeah deguy, I am a rain shield weenie. Even more than a snow weenie. Where I live grown men dance over torrential rains! We got cattlemen and ranchers down here and ag interests. And I need water, BAD. We got millions of people from the rest of the US moving into the central TX region and millions and millions coming up from wonderful exciting places like Nicaragua and we will never have enough water. Those fine folks are welcome to live here in the US! But we WILL run out of water soon. It is mathematics and numbers dont lie! So, yeah, I am a RAIN SHIELD WEENIE! I want Hurricane Harvey to come spin over Austin for 6 months. I want rain so damn bad. I want atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river after atmospheric river. I want a total rain catastrophe in Texas because I am so self centered about water availability. I want the damned water table to be about 2 inches below the ground. I am fracking CRAZY about having enough water! You ever try livin' with no water? You'd last three days then end up fookin' DEAD.

Radar is absolutely impressive. I have lots of snapshots of that fantastic rainshield not only on my 5G tablet, but also uploading to the Drive Cloud.
-
Only about say, 47 to about 61 inches.
-
You guys just may catch a break on the really long flood provoking rains. It's called a dry slot.
-
I will gladly take that 6 inches of wasted water right off your Waterworld hands, right now!
-
Per latest AFD, 3-4 inches of rain now expected along I 95 Corridor. System is strengthening. That radar is compulsive watching lol. I have been glued to it all night.
-
Radar is unbelievable. Been watching it develop.

I get it now. Ers Wxman is correct. The subtrop jet IS a Beast, only it will be rain, and on the East Coast. Much as I hate to say that, but it needs to be said. The subtropical jetstream is a thing and will affect the East repeatedly. It will be a beast for them and will produce record rain for the next 3 months. It will not affect California or Texas at any time this winter or Spring 2024. California and Texas are high and dry and will be for the foreseeable future. The current Mexico to Florida southern jet trajectory will obtain probably through at least April 2024, by which time Summer will be well underway in the Southwest. This is a moderate Nino, but it is going to rain the hell out of the east. It isnt going to do what we thought, what we craved, which was bring snow. And it isnt going to help Texas with rain either. Track is too far south, Mex to FL and will probably do so all winter then jump 1700 miles north. I need to make plans to move to south central AL or MS where it rains nearly every day. California is going to be dry as a martini all winter, especially after last winter. The crazy Palisades snow last season, these things dont repeat. Texas and California are both in for a blazing hot dry 2024, and probably '25 as well.

Ha ha ha, that's me crying a river about NOT GETTING RAIN in Texas lmao

Larry Cosgrove is falling off his game lmao. We now get forecasts about 1-2 weeks LATE. Everyone gets old, including yours truly. Guy needs to hire someone who knows advanced AI and use it. AI's are never late. They always have the forecast right on time. I love AI so much. It's going to replace everything and everyone. We are gonna save quadrillions of dollars on unnecessary jobs and streamline the hell out of everything! I am one of the most enthusiastic of the AI folks. I absolutely adore and WORSHIP everything AI, with all my heart. It's a great hobby to enjoy and it never lets you down!

Florida is just getting demolished, by multiple weather modes. That storm is kind of like in beast mode. That's a rainstorm of several lifetimes, if you enjoy rain.
-
I know you guys want snow but man I am frackin' JEALOUS! All that rain! 5.5 inches on the Eastern Shore! I'd give the first 100,000 I make from email marketing to charity for half of that rain! But its no use. East Coast gets the rain, Tex gets sunshine lol
