I hope the frigid air hits the East. Feb 2021 was NO fun in Texas.

Panic Room is for debs. And I am definitely a deb. And I will deb, and deb, and deb, and deb, and deb, and deb! Everyone will begin to refer to me as the Debman. Its because I am a Deb, and see nothing but utter broken hopelessness concerning the weather and its devastating consequences for mankind from now on, with absolutely no mercy. It will not spare, not one little bit! Warming in the climate has advanced to the point where you can hear the sound of Inevitability. You can see it, too. No significant snows in the Mid Atlantic in over SEVEN FRACKING YEARS! It is not the 7 years of famine! It may well be 700 years! Planet is warming dramatically, winter is long gone and summers particularly in the south are becoming a real problem. No rain at all to be had and highs averaging in the lower to middle hundred single digits are becoming routine. Back east, no snow at all and incredible amounts of torrential rain, flooding and devastated ski slopes are becoming routine. It will not only not stop, it will get much, much worse. Even in the western ski resorts, storms spin out at sea hardly giving any snow to places like Palisades and Mammoth. Those ski resorts are being reduced to making artificial snow just to barely survive. Same thing in the Northeast in places like Vermont, It just isnt the same any more. Global Warming/Climate Change is wreaking severe havoc throughout America. Storms are flooding those places with so damn much rainfall, its not only destroying the snowpack, it is actually producing severe damage to the grounds, eroding deep gullies in many a ski slope trail and leaving huge pools of mud and water and huge fooking boulders! This is costing the ski resorts prohibitive amounts of money and if it keeps up, which it will, many ski resorts WILL close down forever. The climate changes will force devastatingly inconvenient truth upon many throughout the world. We have passed a critical tipping point long long ago. Laugh if you wish. Because by and by, you will be fully convinced of it!

That, is hard to believe. That's thirty feet! Maybe I need to move there!

Yeah we are in the rain only phase. Except in places like the Southwest where it will get hotter and much much drier with time. Everyone is moving to Texas but that will change once the water runs out. Then they will be flocking to places like New Orleans and the central Gulf states where they get 50 plus inches a year without breaking a sweat. In the meantime, hail mary topic is running, last ditch effort to shore up hopes. I am truly a deb now. That topic will unfortunately get Lucy'd as well. I have many other hobbies besides snow. Winter is Coming? Yeah, the cold rain is coming - and lots of it for the East, naso much for Texas. We will be dry and sunny. I'll be debbing and debbing and debbing from now on. Winter IS over, even before NYE.

Not PSU's fault. Its the warming planet. I thought those anomalous warm oceans would help the snow. Naaaah. All the warm ocean did was bring tons of frackin' RAIN.

Jan Medium/Long Range Disco: Winter is coming
Jebman replied to stormtracker's topic in Mid Atlantic
Yeah there is definitely something about that Jan 22 date. -
You should post a scene in which the entire CONUS is burning up, with weenies like myself frantically jumping all over.

Winter is officially over. This is ridiculous. Canada is warm and many ski resorts are out of Business. Every storm is rain. I have officially lost all hope forever and you can call me a deb. Palisades and Mammoth are getting missed and are struggling to make artificial snow. Rain has been falling at 10,000 feet. The base state is completely screwed up and we have been officially Lucy'd, probably into the foreseeable future. Texas is dry as a martini on New Years Eve in Times Square! This winter is so fooking BAD, that we are setting up brand new snow futility markers lmao. I am seriously thinking about changing my Name, to Debman.

Grass skiing is fun. Got to watch out for those ROCKS though.

December 2015 into January 2016, tracking the GB16 storm in late Jan '16.
-
That goes likely for all of us. This is BAD, even way up north. I will be sh!tting my guts out all over the fookin blinds, floor, walls, even the damned CEILING!
-
You still Believin in boom bust ? Panic room is gonna boom, probably for years on end.
-
This is the very WORST winter ever, even way up north. The Nino is so fooked up and the base state is full of shyte. It is a total nightmare this so-called season, especially for ski resort operations. They are losing money and sleep, probably for months. Some will close down forever! It's worse than the Great Depression in the fookin 1930s!
-
I have to carve my own tombstone? Especially when I am thinking about Jumping because winter has been cancelled and the base state is like the Mount St Helens in 1980? Reaper is irresponsible. If I Jump I want a proper Reaping, and only The Reaper can do it right.

What happened to Sunday River up northeast was just horrific. Not just destruction of the snowpack but damage to the grounds, outright destruction of some ski trails. They had to get heavy construction equipment up in there to clean things up. Standing water, deep mud, rocks all over the damn place. What they got up there, was just GRINCHED, grinched to death. It made me cry. I love snow and worship ski resorts with all my heart, with absolutely nothing left for g-d. When I worship, I WORSHIP. Its just terrible. The base state is hellish. Even up there in the northeastern ski resorts. It's going to take them so long to fix then try to make snow and build it up. I wish we were heading for a snowball earth but instead we are heading for runaway warming. Its hotter every year, year after year after year. It is destroying ME. Everything I ever cared about is being destroyed by global warming and the base state will never be the same ever again probably not for thousands of years.

That storm was disgusting. Plain horrific.

Snow weenies will be flying all over the place. This entire sub is going to be a total very ecstatic pandemonium! I am going to be glad to see it!

The Monday night before the storm it was 65 and drizzle. Tuesday night it was 52 and drizzle. Wednesday night it was 38 and drizzle. Thursday it hit 32 and started icing up everything. Friday freezing drizzle blew around at 30 degrees then Saturday morning it was 25 and falling and everything was ice covered. It got so fookin COLD in Buda! There was drizzle for days and days and it froze on ALL surfaces! On Saturday even the DIRT was solid ice! Then on Sunday it fell into the mid 20s with 25 mph north winds and drizzle, that changed to sleet at 7pm then to snow by 11pm that became heavy! This was a full-on BECS by south Texas standards! Flakes were easily an inch in diameter! I stared in astonishment, to see this happening in Buda! It piled up and drifted as north winds gusted to 35 mph at times! The temperatures fell into the teens and the upper single digits! We got 7 inches of snow and many waterlines froze solid. Our well took damage. I had to carry water like a 19th century Sooner, for days! I was not happy. I also fell right on my 8ss! The neighbors howled with mirth! It turned out we got lucky with the pipes, but I got the bajorkas worked out of me haulin' water! I got sick of that real quick! I never did like the Sooners and I didnt like being one either! It was so damned COLD! I am not used to this anymore. I work outside routinely in humid 100 plus weather many months out of the year.

LOL LMAO
-
That would be a truly spectacular jebwalk!
-
You just won that question TWICE! DC gets twice as much snow as they got in both those years, in one incredible winter!
