  1. Not gonna be desperate this winter. Can't always say for sure what complex combo of moving parts make a good winter in the Mid Atlantic, but in 23-24 it just happens --- and people will be frantically digging massive amounts of snow. You'll not only need a bigger shovel, you will be crying for the Jebman to come help dig you out, lol.
  2. We are going to be unprecedentedly lucky this winter in the Mid Atlantic. In fact we will be so lucky, and so many waves will time well with cold air, that weather enthusiasts will somehow plow their way to MGM National Harbor and WIN BIG on Craps and other Table Games. IF, you all can dig all that deep snow!
  3. We will be busy living out D15 fantasies for three months, and be buried in deep snow! The very BEST that can happen, WILL HAPPEN with the Arctic Oscillation, and every snow weenie in the Mid Atlantic wont just be flying. They'll be in near permanent orbit.
  4. This is getting ridiculous. We have fallen to a temperature, that for us down here in the Southwest, is like Vodka Cold for this time of year. It's 43/36. It is cold as heck! Our low is supposed to be 60. If we keep on with these kinds of temperature anomalies into deep winter, we might end up far worse than last February's three quarter inch icestorm, or worse off than in the Infamous February 2021 Cold/Ice/Snow Outbreak, in which our pipes froze solid and I hauled water like an 1890s pioneer in the Oklahoma Territory. I am definitely NOT used to this kind of cold, not after working outside in that fiery 104 every day for weeks. EDIT 9pm: Our avg temps have now fallen to 79/59!!! Time to celebrate with a billion kegs of Texas Beer!
  5. It's fallen to 56 degrees. The dewpoint is down to 34. Its chilly as heck. I am not used to this. The wind is NE at 7, gusting to 11. It will likely plummet into the lower 40s. This is VERY cold for south central TX at this time of year. Normal low is 60.
  6. Last night: FIRST OFFICIAL LOW IN THE 40s!!! It got down to 46. It was cold as all heck! We just got done with one hellish brutal fiery summer only scant weeks ago! Dewpoint was 39. Winds were north at 10. That windchill was frigid. It made me think of the winter that is about to smash right into the Mid Atlantic, laden with snow and vodka cold temps!
  7. It is also going to be very cold and very snowy for the Mid Atlantic in 2023-24.
  8. It is currently 55 degrees down here with a 37 dewpoint. This is very chilly for us.
  9. The light outside looks off. It looks as if there are cirrostratus clouds over the sun but it is clear as a bell. You can watch live broadcasts of the eclipse on nasa online. It's really intriguing. Never try to look at a solar eclipse with your naked eye. Can't wait for April 8th next year. We are gonna be 100% with that puppy.
  10. Tape TWO yardsticks together just in case. This, could be one of THOSE winters!
  11. FIXED! I have got The Faith, for the entire subforum.
  12. You betcha, and your region is gonna get hit extremely hard by snow as well. Better rent out some of those western ski resort mega plows! Like the kind they use in Mammoth Mountain, CA, in Palisades Tahoe, and in Alta, Utah.
  13. I am sure they do. The music scene down here is fantastic.
  14. Very, very well done! That, is the BEST laugh I have had for a long time, lmao! Mid Atlantic is not gonna be singing about snow this winter, You're gonna be digging snow, and lots of it! You're gonna need a bigger shovel!
  15. It's simple, really. You've had a lot of rain. You'll break records thru July 2024 with precip. It dont take much for you to get snow in winter. Therefore, every snow record in New England will be broken this low sun season. All that rain, will be snow. This winter will make 2014-15, look like Miami, FL in January. Ski resorts will set new records for snow too.
  16. Good for you! Damn I am so jealous!
  17. This winter will turnaround snow-wise, and how!
  18. Ravens will get better, and you all are on your way to a truly EPIC snowy winter! You'll be treated to a Doubleheader: Ravens win the SuperBowl, and Mid Atlantic is crippled severely by a record amount of torrential snow! Baltimore gets hit particularly hard by training thundersnows. Remember, You heard this from the Jebman first!
  19. Yesterday Oct 7, Buda had it's 1st official high temp in the 70s, 75 degrees. Last night, Buda experienced its 1st official low in the 50s, 52 degrees. Along side a 34 degree dewpoint, that felt cold as heck! Normal temps for this date are a high of 84 and a low of 62. It's starting to feel a lot like a Super el Nino Autumn.
  20. This is going to be a truly memorable winter in the Washington Metropolitan Region. Frigid, epically snowy, in a truly fierce El Nino to boot. And the oceans are so abnormally warm. This is an epic time to be alive!
  21. This puppy is gonna be about ~93-95 percent annular here. Trying so hard to find eclipse glasses.
  22. Oh, winter is coming to the Mid Atlantic. It's going to get COLD, and its gonna be a SNOWY one, too! Get a whole bunch of Jebman Shovels. Get a ton of drinks to stay awake because you are all gonna be glued to those MODELS for months! It's going to be a super fun ride in the Mid Atlantic and you will all be sick of shoveling snow!
  23. It's really chilly up in here in Buda, only in the low/mid 70s with a chilly north wind and dewpoints ONLY in the low 40s! This is downright cold to us! Its been humid and hot for the past 6 months lol. Thank goodness It warms back up to a comfortable 93/70 in a few days!
