Visibility was down to about 5 blocks in heavy snow for awhile. 1-2" accumulated from 8 am until now. Clealry past 4 " now. Back to light snow. I smell a rally for Chicago peeps.

surprised at the consistency of the snow as it is blowing quite easily for what was supposed to be such a wet snow. Nice winter evening with the whipping wind and snow btw.

finally starts snowing after model watching for 3 days....checks board posts, and it's over.

Tremendous messaging by LOT on this event in my opinion from a public perspective. Never bit on the high end numbers from 2 days ago and have pretty much stayed the course on a solid 6 " event. The latest update on accumulation refinement between I-39 and I-355 is another nice touch given that area will be in between the best accumulation maxima. Sadly, I'm in that zone..
