Yes, it has been a good run. The persistent track directly over our area has sort of left us with a "what could have been" feeling even this weeks fronto set up just north sort of stings a bit. Was hoping for one last decent event before the cold air hits. But I do suspect it's going to go cold and dry and than I look for winter to ease off by mid month...which is fine by my standards. But since mid January it's been non stop tracking. Perhaps we can pull one more out before a hopefully early spring.

if you read the AFD they are not expecting 3" of snow rather backwash snowshowers.Nor did I ever see SW Michiana modeled for that. It was also issued 72 hrs in advance. When was the last time a storm didn't track over us? Hoping this is the last(if it in fact does), and we get some that are a bit more suppressed to give us a few late season snow events before spring is sprung.

That 6" heavy wet snowstorm post Thanksgiving caused about 3K worth of damage in my yard. I love the landscape in my yard between the arborvitaes,pines, hostas etc. So 40-50 mph winds are not something I cherish. Was glad the ice storm last week didn't really cause much damage. hearing rumblings of a colder period commencing. If it can stay active maybe we can jackpot yet. Either way, has been a busy 30 days...can't remember this many repeated freezing rain events
