I think the pattern will improve somewhat...but the idea of a great pattern with blocking and a good pac all coming together seems to be getting pushed back as we have seen before. I don’t buy anything but serviceable.

I store stuff with true gas but you can get non ethanol gas from the pump way cheaper, if you look around for it. Snowblowers siting with ethanol will gum up carburetors big time - they tend to sit a long time between uses. I turn off the fuel petcock off to shut the motor off and let the carb run out of fuel every time I put it away. Saves a lot of agro. Startron does seem to suck. I use stabil or some 2 cycle oil - which is basically what I think stabil is. Everything with a carburetor should use non ethanol. Usually it’s 91 octane when you find it.

Everything looks like shit over the next 2 weeks. I really don’t expect the NAO to save winter like the weeklies indicate. Sure we could see something pop but thaws will quickly follow. The hot garbage pacific will take the wheel thank you very much.

The trend west wasn’t subtle. It jumped quick. I don’t see anything for the next 10 days synoptically. Could get some backside LES of this, but that’s it for most of us.

there is a coastal hugger coming in at hr. 210. Goes right up the Hudson. I where do I sign?

We can at least keep an eye for some support on the GFS hr. 240 coastal this weekend. Wonder if the cutter next week helps set the stage for a coastal?

Hopefully we can see the light at the end of this crappy tunnel sometime next week at least on the 10 day ensembles. I don’t see a chance between now and Jan 5.

I dunno...blocking could mend this when it materializes which I think it will. Everything will be transient. Snow/cold and then the warm cutter when the block fades. The pacific doesn’t have all the cards, all the time this year (perhaps more of the time, however.)

Binghamton will have a glacier until May.

We should be lucky if the AO and NAO are negative this winter. Sure we can suppress but imagine the cutters without it? The pacific is hot garbage.
