    Do we know if any actually materialized? We got out of bed and went to the basement. It was loud here north of HPN but no reports in these parts.

    Same. Step down to winter. Weak nina? Going to try to hold off winter mode in my house until September but next week I am heading to NH to check out a camp for this winter so its on the brain heavily already.

    Pretty sure i am smelling smoke faintly in the air...anyone else? Im up in westchester.

    I can only remember one other smoke situation of this magnitude and that is the Colorado fires from probably 10 or so years back. You could smell it here as well as see it. i was in san fran 4 years ago during one of the california fires and the whole city smelled like a campfire and was thick with smoke.

    Tornado warning cancelled over here by HPN. I can hear rumbles but the heavy stuff is heading north east of us.

    No lightening here north of HPN but it looks ominous to the west and plenty of thunder. We are in a Thunderstorm warning.

    Too young. Way too young. RIP. For sure he wont be forgotten around here. That guy was an engine in the forum. Ain’t happening James... but we rooted for him nonetheless. Sad.

    I am in mid Westchester and frequently walk my dog in the nearby forested parks. Deer kill sites are not uncommon. Coyotes have no problem with deer. I have never seen as many coyotes, foxes and bobcats as I have recently, and I am talking about on my street as much as the woods. They have plenty of deer and rabbits to munch on! Also the ticks are prolific. The dog and I both have already been hit. I had to take an anti biotic because of lime.

    Plus 1. Maybe a 1000 years is a good period to measure/define a climate. Looks variable.
