  1. If you didn’t already need to get up that early this morning then I’m coming down there for an intervention.
  2. What time did you wake up this morning to check the models? Please advise.
  3. Well yeah, if I really had control I would break it up further as you did but I felt lazy when I posted LOL Well you can go some places to see 60” in one storm as you know but we won’t see it here. Agree on the timing for max retention.
  4. This thread brings up the old question that everyone has their own opinion on, lets says you're going to get 60" snow in a season, if you could split that up how would you? I'm the type that would take ten 6" storms because to me that implies a long relentless winter and a built up snow pack. I'm likely in the minority on that though as I'm sure many on this board would take two 30" storms. Don't get me wrong, I love the monster storms as much as anyone but I like to enjoy the season as a whole.
  5. I was 4 years old and lived in New Hampshire, all I vaguely remember is it snowed all the time, or at least to a 4 year old it did, as much as they can remember anyway. I’d like to live 93-94 again around here, that’s still my favorite winter in the Hudson Valley.
  6. I look forward to your post on this again tomorrow
  7. The key is some of us measure and/or look up records while others use anecdotal evidence.
  8. I have geese that have been on the pond all winter
  9. Yeah, there’s never been 4 or 5 in a row like this.
  10. I quoted you earlier this morning with my records, see above.
  11. IMBY going back to 2005 the last winter I didn’t get below zero was ‘16-‘17 when I only made it to 0. The other winters without any below zero readings are: ’06-‘07 ’07-‘08 ’09-‘10
  12. I’ve had worse than this year IMBY, but... this year is right up there with the clunkers.
  13. I was just wondering when the cold and snowy '20-'21 winter forecasts will commence.
  14. Possibly. There was enough here that some of the roads were plowed.
  15. I was born in New Hampshire but raised in NY since the age of 5 so I’m luckily familiar with many of the sites up there, I go up about once a year. The museum in North Conway is cool, been there a couple times, glad you got to see it too. I’ve been up there spring, summer, and fall but this was my first trip in the winter since 1982 so it was long overdue. I’ve driven up Mount Washington a couples times, rode up a couple times, took the train my first time up and have ridden in the coaches up in summer and now winter. The Mount Washington Auto Road runs snow coaches in the winter, well worth it for folks like us especially, here’s a link: https://www.mtwashingtonautoroad.com/snowcoach-mock-up I was up Whiteface once in the fall, that was also beautiful. Here’s a couple photos this morning from the top of Kancamagus Pass.
  16. I got this one early this evening looking at Loon.
  17. Took a ride on the Mount Washington Snow Coach today, a must for any winter enthusiast. It took us to around 4,000 feet where it was -2 with 40mph winds. Deep winter.
  18. Here’s a few from today from Franconia Notch, Mount Washington, and Crawford Notch. I’d say the Mount Washington Snow Coach is a must for winter enthusiasts. The took us to just over 4,000 feet where it was -2 with 40 MPH winds and higher gusts.
  19. Here’s one, you know the photos never do the snow justice.
