    Snow has picked up significantly in the last 5 or 10 minutes, particularly the size of the flakes. Big, silver dollar pillows falling and still not much wind yet. If it keeps up like this until mid-afternoon, we will easily hit predictions. First plow of the day just went by.

    Juicy radar incoming off the Atlantic heading toward most of Long Island. We haven’t seen snow like this since January of ‘22.

    I’m guessing I’ve gotten higher gusts in the last hour or so than I got last night.

    The one thing I (think) I learned in all those years I lurked and read was that the money got earned on the 0z and 12z models and the 6z and 18z models were “clown” models. Am I wrong about that? In a nutshell.

    I’ve been feeling like crap the past 2 days so I took a little 3-mile jog and it was beautiful out. No wind at all.

    Supposedly Fire Island breached at Ocean Beach and they had to cut the substation there. Crazy. I saw a quote that someone there said the flooding was worse than Sandy.

    I had a train to make and I’m not home until 10:45 tonight. I’m hoping whoever’s crap this is, they do the right thing and clean it up.

    After I took much care with my 2 cans (put them out after the squall line, and flooding, with bricks on top of both cans), I just left for work and I have someone else’s crap all over my grass and street. I’m pretty pissed off about it because by the time I saw this it was too late to do anything about it. Plus, they picked up the recycling at 6:30, so when did these people put their cans out, after pickup??

    Strong west wind kicking up. Considering what we’re getting Friday night, I’m leaving everything packed up for a little bit. Made it through unscathed, hopefully everyone else did too.

    Damn, legit stream going down my block. It’s not raining as torrentially has a minute or two ago but I stuck my head out, still pouring. Winds have definitely died down about 20 minutes now.

    There is legit flooding in the intersection of my block. I’ve lived here 17 years now, I’ve seen this like twice.

    I tried to take a video but it sucks. Street is flooded, the water is piling onto my lawn because of the wind and direction. Man, this is wild.

    I am dumbfounded at how useless the Weather Channel is right now. I know, I know…but they are not covering Delaware to NY at all.
